Real Madrid are new favourites to sign Kane

Real Madrid overtook Manchester United in the betting on the club most likely to sign Harry Kane this summer.

The Spanish giants are 2/1 to land the England captain before September 4 following speculation that they see him as the ideal replacement for Karim Benzema who is set to leave for a Saudi Pro League club.

Betfair Ambasssado Rivaldo said yesterday that Kane was the ideal Madrid replacement for Benzema.

Kane is 10/11 to remain at Spurs, where he is the club's all time leading goalscorer, and his contract last until next summer when he could walk away as a free agent.

But clubs are likely to test Spurs chairman Daniel Levy's resolve to keep Kane between now and next season.

United were believed to be Kane's most likely destination, and Erik ten Hag is expected to try to sign him, but they are out to 5/2.

If United fail to sign Kane, they will look elsewhere as a striker is arguably Ten Hag's priority in the next transfer window.

Napoli star Victor Osimhen could be another target for the Red Devils, if they fail to get Kane, but they are 5/1 to sign the Nigerian, with Chelsea the favourites at 4/1.
