Three Lions roaring again
Well, how about that then: Croatia 0-7 England. Maybe watching the Three Lions stick six past France in the World Cup third-place play-off wasn't just a weird fever dream.
Slack off against this England team and they have the talent to go wild and rack up big scorelines.
Following the 'some bits good, some bits bad' of the 3-2 home defeat to world champions Spain, Thomas Tuchel's men have recorded back-to-back Nations League wins and scored nine goals without reply.
The first of those was against Czechia in Prague, a 2-0 success that didn't exactly set the pulse racing after the home side went into defensive mode after having a man sent off.
But England are now in great position to cement a top-two spot in Group A and reach the quarter-finals.
Czechia pointless after three defeats
The table looks miserable for Czechia. They've played three times and lost three times. Bottom spot would look inevitable in normal circumstances but perhaps now they have fresh hope of catching Croatia given how bad Slaven Bilic's men were against England.
The opening 2-1 loss to Croatia hurt them and having Pavel Sulc sent off after only 25 minutes against England rather killed their hopes in that one.
Conceding to Spain after six minutes was another big blow but despite going into the break 2-0 down they did at least draw the second half 1-1 in the 3-1 defeat.
It could even have been better than that. After Jiri Slama pulled one back in the 69th minute, they were denied an equaliser 10 minutes later for a rather soft foul. It needed a Mike Merino strike on 89 to finally finish them off.
England are predictably heavy odds-on at 1/91.11 to make it three Nations League wins out of three. The Draw is 15/28.50 while Czechia are 19/120.00.
On the handicaps, England -2 is 11/102.11 and that could prove popular for those expecting anything vaguely near a repeat performance of the one in Croatia.
But I prefer the bigger price of 17/102.70 for England win and Both Teams to Score.
Czechia netted against Croatia and the blank against England in Prague didn't really count given that they played three quarters of the match with 10 men.
Scoring in Spain on Saturday night and having good chances to add to that tally shows they have an attacking threat.
Back England to win and Both Teams to Score
This is a fairly remarkable stat... from the start of the World Cup to the 7-0 romp in Croatia, England have scored 31 goals and 27 of them have been shared by Harry Kane (10), Jude Bellingham (8), Bukayo Saka (5) and Anthony Gordon (4).
Here are quick links for each of the quartet to get on the scoresheet:
Back Kane @ 2/51.40
Back Bellingham @ 6/52.20
Back Gordon @ 11/102.11
Back Saka @ 13/82.63
The Fab Four have also contributed 14 assists from the 24 goals that officially had one. The count there is Bellingham 5, Gordon 4, Saka 3, Kane 2.
Put those tallies together and despite Kane's superb output, Bellingham's tally of goals and assists comes out top. The count: Bellingham 13, Kane 12, Saka 8, Gordon 8. Across 11 games (eight in the World Cup and three in the Nations League) they're fantastic numbers.
The permutations are endless but I'll combine a Gordon assist with a Bellingham goal which pays 17/54.40. That was the combination for England's second goal against Croatia.
Gordon's four assists in six La Liga games adds a further layer of confidence.
Croatia didn't lay a glove on England but surely Czechia will be told to get stuck in rather than just let the Three Lions put on a show.
They've had a player sent off in the last two matches so Over 1.5 Cards for the away team here is a reasonable ask.
Combine that with the Bellingham goal and Gordon assist and it's a 9/25.50 Bet Builder.
