Eto'o can get stuck into the goals against Sudan
Cameroon need a win against a very weak Sudan to progress and Samuel Eto'o has the top goalscorer award in his sights but what are the best bets?
Group C reaches its climax with all four teams still in the hunt for qualification but Sudan need an unlikely four goal winning margin in this clash, coupled with an Egypt win over Zambia, to progress.
Punters are still waiting for the real Cameroon to stand up and roar. The Indomitable Lions went down 4-2 to Egypt in their opener but bounced back to hammer Zambia 5-1 and few can see anything but another procession in this encounter.
Sudan, 69 places lower than Cameroon in the world rankings, have lost both their group matches and are available at [32.0] to provide an upset, with the Lions trading at [1.15] and it is [9.0] the draw. With the result in Tamare seemingly a foregone conclusion, punters have good reason to expect goals.
Group C's goals per game average of 4.5 is the highest of the four pools and this clash might prove attractive in the high scoring betting such as the Total Goals market. It might also be the match that gives Samuel Eto'o the edge in the race to finish top scorer.
The Barcelona hitman is joint first with three strikes so far, having equalled the all-time record with his penalty in the rout of Zambia. He has shortened to [2.82] favourite and will surely be on the scoresheet against a team that has shipped six goals to date.
Eto'o will nonetheless need a good run in the tournament, and Cameroon's path to a first final appearance since 2002 is not easy. Angola or Tunisia await in the last eight, with Ivory Coast likely to provide semi-final opposition.
Otto Pfister's outfit are currently fourth in the betting to go all the way, trading at [7.8] and are on offer at [2.62] to reach the final.
These two sides have won three apiece from their seven head-to-head clashes, with Cameroon triumphing 2-1 in their last meeting three years ago. Both sides are at full strength for this clash.
