Back Bounedjah in scoring stakes
Cameroon should record their first win of the tournament on Tuesday as they face arguably the competition's weakest side in Gambia.
The Indomitable Lions have failed to roar so far - Cameroon have picked up just one point from their opening two matches - but they ought to be too strong for Gambia. Cameroon are 1.768/11 to collect all three points, with Gambia 6.25/1 and the Draw 3.55/2.
Gambia have lost their two games to date and are the only side in this high-scoring tournament yet to register a goal. They played poorly in both matches and it's hard to see them raising their game here.
Cameroon continue to suffer without injured leading striker Vincent Aboubakar and that dissuades us from backing them at short odds. But they are the better team.
A draw would suit both sides here and for that reason we're leaving this game alone.
Senegal are top of Group C and need only a point to progress into the knockout phase as group winners. Guinea are second in Group C and a draw - available at 2.829/5 - would ensure they finish in second position. They're already assured of a place in the knockout phase after Monday's matches.
The fact that both teams may settle for a draw makes this a match to avoid as there's no guarantee that either side will play as they would were something more at stake.
These two sides are tied on four points at the top of Group D and may both decide independently that a draw is a good result.
Thanks to the results that occurred on Monday night both sides are already assured of a place in the knockout phase so this game is all about deciding their final position in the group.
Angola are 29/10 on the Sportsbook, with Burkina Faso 6/52.20 and the Draw 9/52.80. Both teams may set out to win, but if the game were level heading into the final stages, for example, caution may take over, especially if the state of play in the group's other game (Mauritania vs Algeria) were favourable.
We've seen some terrific football from these two teams so far, and this should be yet another absorbing contest. With uncertainty over the motivations of the two teams over the entire 90 minutes, however, from a betting perspective we prefer to leave it alone.
Will the real Algeria please stand up? At times at this Africa Cup of Nations Djamel Belmadi's team has produced some terrifically entertaining football, yet at others they've looked slack and made mistakes.
Algeria were our pre-tournament tip to lift the trophy and we're standing by them but they've yet to really show what they can do. They were 13/27.50 to be crowned champions when we backed them; they're now 9/110.00 to claim the continental crown.
This game is a great opportunity for Algeria to finally shine, though, as they're facing Group D's weakest team. Like Algeria (who have two points from two games), Mauritania (zero points from two games) need to win to stand any chance of claiming a place in the knockout phase and the do-or-die nature of this fixture will suit the attack-minded Fennecs.
Algeria are 1/31.33 to win on the Sportsbook, with Mauritania 17/29.50 and the Draw 15/4. Algeria should have too much quality over the 90 minutes and are our strong selection to win.
For bigger odds, back Algeria on the Asian Handicap. With our selection, you'll lose only half your stakes if Algeria win by a single goal, and make a profit if they win by two or more goals.
In the goalscorer markets, look out for Algeria's Baghdad Bounedjah. He has three goals from two games so far and had a glorious overhead kick disallowed. He can be backed at 13/102.30 in the Anytime Goalscorer market.
