Liverpool host Manchester City on Sunday in a Premier League clash that could be pivotal in the title race. Tipman has picked a booking double and it's been boosted to 10/1 on the Betfair Sportsbook...

Endo's foul stats suggest he'll be booked
-
Rodri to be in thick of midfield action

Leg 1 - Back Wataru Endo to be booked
Japan and Liverpool centre-midfielder Wataru Endo has featured heavily since his return from the Asia Cup and played 75 minutes in the Reds' midweek Europa League win at Sparta Prague.
Endo missed the win over Southampton in the FA Cup through injury but managed 30 minutes last week in their 99th minute win over Nottingham Forest. He is expected to be in the line-up in this huge Premier League clash, with Alexis Mac Allister expected to feature in a more advanced role.
Endo's foul statistics put him in the 99th percentile in the Premier League this season. He commits a huge 2.61 fouls per game and is fouled himself 1.9 times. These statistics are unsurprising given Endo competes in 16 duels per game. Endo has picked up seven yellow cards in just 19 Premier League appearances averaging 0.63 yellow cards for every 90 minutes played.
Man City will be expected to retain the ball for large periods and Endo's defensive duties will be pivotal here if Liverpool are to prevent the champions from taking all three points from Anfield. Endo only played eight minutes in the reverse fixture at the Etihad but did receive a yellow card.
Leg 2 - Back Rodri to be booked
Manchester City star Rodri is a certainty to start barring any late injuries. Kevin De Bruye, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden often steal the headlines, but Manchester City are a completely different side when Rodri features, and he is currently 60 games unbeaten for the Champions.
Rodri was withdrawn in the 46th minute in City's midweek Champions League win against FC Copenhagen, which was no surprise given the tie was all but over and with this massive title clash looming. City have to go for the win here while Liverpool would likely settle for a draw given they sit top of the table and also have a long injury list.
Liverpool are likely to soak up pressure and look to be direct in and launch fast counter-attacks. Rodri will likely play a deeper role than usual and will be trying to prevent fast counter-attacks. That will increase the likelihood of Rodri making a cynical foul and getting a booking.
Rodri commits an average of 1.34 fouls per game and is fouled 1.1 times. We expect a higher than average amount of fouls here as City will not dominate this game as they usually do. Rodri's defensive duties will be called upon.
He has received eight yellow cards and one red card in the Premier League so far this season, averaging 0.4 cards per 90 minutes played. Rodri has been booked in two of the last three matches against Liverpool.
The match official - Michael Oliver
The man in the middle of this huge clash in the Premier League title race is the highly experienced Michael Oliver. Oliver averages a low 4.33 cards shown per game in his 18 Premier League games so far this season and awards an average of 22 fouls per game.
Liverpool and Manchester City average just 3.23 cards per fixture this season which is substantially below the Premier League average. That is probably due to the fact they both are used to large periods of possession and win most of their matches.
We expect a higher than average amount of fouls awarded and cards shown here. Oliver showed Endo a yellow card in Liverpool's 0-0 draw at Anfield with rivals Manchester United in December.
