Caicedo remains 1/9 to join Chelsea despite latest rejected bid

Moise Caicedo is still long odds-on at 1/91.11 to join Chelsea before the end of the transfer window despite the Stamford Bridge outfit having their latest bid of £70m rejected by Brighton.

The Blues are desperate to sign another holding mdifielder to play alongside Enzo Fernandez after the sales of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante this year.

Caicedo was the subject of two huge transfer bids from Arsenal in the January transfer window, but the Seagulls held firm and rejected both offers before the 21-year-old signed a new long term contract.

Chelsea's latest offer of £70m is their second failed bid after they offered Brighton £60m last month. The Seagulls are reportedly holding out for a fee of around £100m before agreeing to sell.

Last week it emerged that Liverpool could also be interested in signing the Ecuadorian, and they can be backed at 11/26.50 to sign the sought-after midfielder, which is just behind Manchester United who are 9/25.50 to sign Caicedo.
