Premier League Tips
15:00 - Liverpool v Bournemouth
Opta Stat: "Bournemouth have kept just one clean sheet in their 12 Premier League meetings with Liverpool, conceding 36 goals in the process (3 per game).
"Indeed, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has scored eight goals in eight Premier League appearances against Bournemouth, though he didn't score in either meeting with the Cherries last season. Also, on MD1, new signing Dominik Szoboszlai created more chances (3) and made more off-the-ball runs into the box (6) than any other Liverpool player on his debut against Chelsea on MD1."
17:30 - Spurs v Man Utd
Tom Victor: "Spurs' draw last week means whatever happens this time out, they'll have conceded two or more goals in more than half of their games since the start of last season.
"It's happened 21 times since August 2022, and United are 10/11 to bring it up to 22 - only Nottingham Forest have conceded twice on as many occasions in the same period.
"Betfair's 90 minute payout is running this weekend, meaning if you back a team that's winning after 90 minutes, it won't matter what happens after that. This means a tip on Man City to win this season's Community Shield would have come good, and it also applies to accas.
"Betfair are giving away a free acca or Bet Builder every weekend in August, and the Bet Builder market is where we're looking. James Maddison became the first ever Spurs player to set up two goals on their Premier League debut when he did so last week, and a Maddison assist with more than 2.5 goals and both teams to score can be backed at 9/2."
20:00 - Man City v Newcastle
Andy Schooler says: "For Newcastle, Fabian Schar was the top defender in the league for shots last season, averaging 1.57 per 90 minutes, although he's only 3/10 for 1+ shot in this match which isn't so mouthwatering.
"Finally, Kieran Trippier could offer some value in the player-card market. Only Wilfried Zaha was fouled more often than Jack Grealish in the Premier League last season and, assuming he starts, England team-mate Trippier will be his direct opponent here.
"Referee Robert Jones was one of the stricter officials last season, averaging 4.12 cards per game, while he opened the new campaign by showing five in Brentford v Spurs last weekend.
"Tripper, booked seven times in all competitions last season, including once against City, is 11/4 for a card."
EFL Tips
12:30 - Plymouth v Southampton
Opta Stat: "Plymouth have won each of their last four league games at Home Park, another win here would be their fourth different streak of five wins or more since the start of 2021-22, which would be more than any other Football League side"
"Plenty of goals are expected in this one. Plymouth could have plenty of joy against a Southampton side who have struggled to defend crosses."
15:00 - Wigan v Bolton
Alan Dudman: "Bolton have impressed so far, winning both of their home games 3-0 against Lincoln and 3-1 against Fleetwood and even won with 10 men against the Cod Army thanks to a hat-trick from Victor Adeboyejo - whose always had a good goal ratio.
"He was clinical with his finishing and Bolton have been fast starters in their games this term - scoring early in all three of their league matches.
They've got a 1.31 xG at the moment and Wigan will be no pushover here considering they've picked up four points from two away games - and one of those was a victory at Derby. Bolton are a short price, but it might be wiser to play the BTTS at 4/5."
European Leagues Tips
16:00 La Liga - Real Sociedad v Celta Vigo
Jamie Kemp: "Real Sociedad are starting their campaign off with a second consecutive home game, following their 1-1 draw against Girona last week. With their first run out of the way, and in a game where they were typically competitive despite not getting the three points, I expect their first victory to come in this one.
"The Rafa Benítez era, for all of the optimism it brought, didn't get off to a particularly ideal start last time out. Celta's 2-0 defeat to Osasuna on home soil saw them record just one shot on target - the joint-fewest of any side on MD1 - and that being despite chasing the game from the 24th minute onwards following Rubén García's opener.
"Celta struggled immensely to break down Osasuna's defensive shape, and that endeavor will be even harder if they fall behind in this one."
17:30 Bundesliga - Dortmund v Koln
Kevin Hatchard: "The stats suggest the hosts have every chance of posting a goal-filled win. Opta say Dortmund have won 18 of their last 23 Bundesliga home games against Köln, and they tend to hit the ground running, winning their opening match of the Bundesliga season in each of the last eight seasons.
"Dortmund had the best home record in the division last term, claiming a dizzying 44 points from their 17 games, a run of 14 wins, two draws and a defeat. They beat Köln 6-1, and were 4-0 up inside 36 minutes.
"We can use the Bet Builder to back a Dortmund win, Over 2.5 Goals and Over 7.5 Corners at 2.26."
19:45 Serie A - Inter v Monza
Dan Fitch: "Monza surprised many with their performances in the 2022-23 campaign, which was their first ever season in Serie A, pulling off a number of unlikely victories, which included a 1-0 win in this fixture.
"They finished 11th and have further strengthened their squad over the summer, with new recruits that include Roberto Gagliardini and Valentin Carboni from Inter.
"Carlos Augusto has moved in the other direction. It remains to be seen as to whether Inter can be as strong this season, having lost a number of senior players during the transfer window, but they should get off to a flying start with a win."
20:00 Ligue 1 - Toulouse v PSG
James Eastham: "PSG manager Luis Enrique has yet to be drawn on whether Dembele and Mbappe will start this weekend or be used off the bench. If needed, however, the two France internationals will be called upon. Having dropped points last weekend, PSG will pick the players to secure the three points.
"PSG are 1.7 to claim an away win. We recommend doubling up and putting this selection in an Acca with another of the games taking place in France this weekend (see below). Or, if you'd rather simply have a single bet on PSG, back the visitors with a -0.5 & -1.0 start on the Asian Handicap market."
