Barcelona need a win
Barcelona must surely beat Bayern Munich if they are to stand a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Bayern have already qualified (P4 W4) and a victory would guarantee that they win Group C. Barcelona are in third place (P4 W1 D1 L2) and they are three points behind second placed Inter, who are expected to beat Viktoria Plzen.
If it looks like a tough ask for the Spanish giants, they at least come into this match in good form. Since losing El Clasico, Barca have bounced back with strong home wins against decent opposition, beating Villarreal 3-0 last week and then Athletic Bilbao 4-0 over the weekend.
Bayern won 2-0 at Hoffenheim on Saturday, which leaves them in second place in the Bundesliga, a point behind Union Berlin. While they have had stumbles domestically, Bayern have won all of their Champions League games with relative ease, with only Napoli having scored more than their 13 goals in four games.
Bayern should be shorter
Barcelona are the 2.3811/8 favourites, with Bayern Munich at 2.962/1 and the draw at 4.131/10.
It's surprising to see Barcelona favoured considering the respective positions of the two teams. Bayern still need a win to ensure that they top the group, so they are not lacking in motivation.
This has all the ingredients to be a hugely entertaining game that sees plenty of goals, with both teams requiring victory and looking more dangerous in attack than they are secure in defence. Go for Bayern to avoid defeat in the double chance market, over 3.5 goals and both teams to score at 3.3258/25.
