Mexico v England: Back Kane to use his head

Dave Tindall: So far Kane has headed home crosses from Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and Anthony Gordon. He even flicked home a cross with his bonce in the friendly against New Zealand, that one provided by Djed Spence.

Therefore, let's back a couple of combinations. The two assist providers I like are set-piece king Rice and open play roamer Bellingham. Hopefully both can provide the moments of quality that Mexico haven't seen so far.

Both combinations - Rice assist/Kane header and Bellingham assist/Kane header - are 20s.

And, of course, they don't have to be part of the same action. A dream scenario would be Kane heading home from one of them and the other setting up someone else for a goal. Both 20/121.00 shots land.

Mexico v England: Back extra-time at Azteca

Stephen Tudor: Only Belgium have taken more attempts on goal than England while only three teams have registered more on target. They are knocking at the door plenty.

The problem is a lack of clinical finishing, that and coming up against some excellent goalkeeping. Combined, the stoppers of Croatia, Ghana, Panama and DR Congo have pulled off 19 saves to deny Kane and company.

That excuses Tuchel's men, but only to an extent. Their 11% conversion rate is the third worst of the 25 teams who have scored five or more goals.

Obviously, it would be lovely - from an England perspective - if this costly flaw resolved itself overnight, but logic suggests otherwise. Especially, when we factor in that Mexico are one of only two sides yet to concede in the tournament.

If this is indeed a tight, tense affair, with further chances going begging, then under 1.5 goals can be backed at 9/5. A savvier, broader option is to go with the contest being decided in extra-time.

Mexico v England: Back Kane bet builder at 15/1

Opta Stat: Harry Kane has scored four headed goals at the FIFA World Cup, with three of those coming so far at this year's tournament. Only Miroslav Klose (7) and Gerd Müller (5) have netted more headers at the competition on record than Kane (since 1966).

He has scored two braces at this World Cup, against Croatia in England's first group match and in the last round against DR Congo.

Mexico v England: Rice at RB creates assists chance

Lewis Jones: Declan Rice has already created 12 chances in just three World Cup matches, highlighting the creative influence he's carrying in this England side. If he's stationed permanently on the right, those crossing opportunities and deliveries into the box are likely to increase.

Rice's assist prices for the Mexico game could become very attractive if he's named at right-back then.

His delivery from wide areas is among the best in Europe and he'd have regular opportunities to supply Kane and Jude Bellingham, whose movement and finishing inside the penalty area remains England's biggest weapon.

If Rice starts at right-back against Mexico, don't be surprised if the assist and shots-created markets are where the value lies.

Mexico v England: Alan Shearer predicts a long night in store

Alan Shearer: It's a tough one to call. Mentally, physically it is going to be tough for England and they're going to have to be at their very, very best to get through, which we haven't seen yet. So, let's hope that they're saving their best for Mexico.

I'm not going to predict England to be beaten. I think it could be a really long evening. I think this could be the first time England go to extra time and then penalties. So, I'm going to say it will be a very long night/morning for you guys' back home. And I'm going to go England win on penalties.

I got the last prediction right when I said England would win 2-1 against DR Congo. So, I hope I'm wrong in terms of everyone's nerves and how late it'll be or early in the early hours of the morning. But I have a feeling it could be a long morning/night for us.

If I was at home and not out in America, I would have arranged to be in a pub with my pals. I would be going super late in terms of 9 or 10 o'clock, having a couple of pints before kick-off just to ease the nerves. I would definitely be in a pub somewhere if I was back home with my pals.

Brazil v Norway: Back star strikers to find the net

Mark Stinchcombe: So the market anticipates Norway contributing so who better than expert marksman Erling Haaland? He's got an incredible 60 goals in only 53 caps and has already scored five goals in three games at the World Cup. Incredibly he's scored in his last 13 competitive games, bagging a staggering 25 goals.

From a Brazilian side, who better than Vinicius Junior? He had a fantastic second half of the season at Real Madrid after the arrival of Alvaro Arbeloa, scoring 15 goals and has carried that into the USA with four goals in four games.

Norway have failed to keep a clean sheet so far and have conceded multiple goals to both Senegal and France. Given both players are in top form along with the likes of Messi and Mbappe, these superstars look to be spurring each other on for more. So let's have a swing at a classic with both players scoring yet another brace between them at 9/25.50 and a brace each at 79/180.00.

Brazil v Norway: Back Haaland to strike

Opta Stat: Norway's Erling Haaland could become just the eighth European player to score in each of his first four FIFA World Cup appearances, and first since Christian Vieiri for Italy in 1998. Haaland has scored in each of his last 13 competitive internationals overall, netting 25 goals in this run.
