Blues defending ok but terrible in attack

Unreliable London rivals
Neither Tottenham nor Chelsea are a reliable team to back. Spurs are unpredictable - beating Manchester City one week then losing to Nottingham Forest the next - while the Blues continue to stutter under Graham Potter. They went down to Southampton last weekend.
The teams drew 2-2 in August, just prior to Thomas Tuchel's departure from Chelsea, and it was a fiery contest which saw both managers sent off at full-time. Blues fans want Potter to show more fight but clashing with Conte isn't the Englishman's style.

Chelsea have an excellent record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning on all three of their Premier League visits. But it is difficult to see it happening on Sunday and, likewise, while the reverse fixture produced four goals, we wouldn't back over 3.5 this time.
Blues are dire in attack
Chelsea's last six matches came in at under 2.5 goals and five of them went under 1.5. Perhaps Potter is putting in place defensive foundations in west London.
They are certainly struggling at the other end, with just six goals in their last 11 in the league. No English top flight team has scored fewer.
Chelsea came away from Anfield with a clean sheet last month and will employ similar tactics to try to subdue a Spurs side that has won its last two to nil in north London.
The visitors may not be able to contain Harry Kane, who scored against them at Stamford Bridge last time, for the whole match. And if the England captain does strike, Chelsea may find it impossible to get one back. For that reason I'm backing a narrow home win.
