Premier League Tips & Predictions
15:00 - Arsenal v Wolves: Back goals as Gunners march on
Alex Boyes: "Arsenal have scored in their last 31 meetings with Wolves in all competitions, since a 1-0 home loss in February 1979. If they score here, it will equal their longest scoring streak against an opponent in their history (current run of 32 against West Bromwich Albion).
"However, since losing 1-0 to Manchester United on MD1, Wolves have scored in each of their last 12 Premier League games. It's their second longest scoring streak in Premier League history, following an 18-game run between August and December 2019."
15:00 - Burnley v Sheff Utd: Dimitar Berbatov's 7/1 score prediction
Dimitar Berbatov: "You need to know how to get points when you're playing opposition who expect to beat you. You need to bully the opposition, like Stoke did back in the day. I want Burnley to win to make it more intriguing, so I'll go with them."
17:30 - Nottingham Forest v Everton: Both sides can score
Mark O'Haire: "Nottingham Forest have played 25 Premier League games at the City Ground since returning to this level with 16 (64%) of those fixtures featuring winning Both Teams To Score selections. A repeat holds plenty of appeal here at 1.84 considering the Tricky Trees have notched in 23 of those 25 dates, averaging a very reasonable 1.48 home goals per-game.
"Five of the Reds' opening six EPL encounters this term have paid-out for BTTS backers, as have eight of Forest's 13 overall league outings. Steve Cooper's charges have recorded just three clean sheets yet managed to get on the scoresheet themselves in 11 of those top-flight tussles, only firing blanks away at Liverpool and Manchester City.
"Everton failed to score in their opening three Premier League fixtures, but the Toffees have since struck in seven of their last 10 such matches. The visitors have netted in seven of nine league dates against sides outside of the top-six and are actually returning a higher non-penalty Expected Goals (npxG) average than league leaders Arsenal at this stage."
20:00 - Newcastle v Man Utd: Back Toon to take it and 9/2 Bruno Bet Builder
Paul Higham: "Erik ten Hag continues to take some stick while Eddie Howe is lavished with praise, but fact is the Red Devils are a point above the Magpies and actually put in an impressive display at a fired-up Goodison Park last week.
"Throwing away a lead in istanbul won't have helped - and Newcastle not only have home advantage here but also had a shorter trip just to Paris and an extra day's rest to prepare. Howe's men did do an awful lot of running though as PSG dominated.
"Man Utd are a big price at 3/1 and they have been better away from home than at Old Trafford recently, although 4/5 Newcastle have won six of seven at home. With plenty of injuries on both sides it's hard to know how they'll react to midweek, but Newcastle usually show up at home and although Man Utd offer a threat you wouldn't trust them to see it out - back a home win with a few goals."
EFL Tips & Predictions
12:30 Championship - West Bromwich Albion v Leicester City: Back 15/2 bet at the Hawthorns
NTT20: "Leicester have only lost three games this season, but all were a 1-0 scoreline and in each they were surprisingly poor when going behind, especially when hosting a similarly solid defensive side in Leeds a couple of weeks ago.
"As mentioned above, four of West Brom's recent wins have come with a clean sheet and the extends to six of their last seven if we go further back in the season. In 21/22 14 of Huddersfield's 23 wins under Corberan came without conceding and that game-plan could be the blueprint for success here.
"With Leicester themselves having a very solid defensive record, 1-0 at 15/2 looks the value play in this important clash between two of the best teams in the Championship."
15:00 Championship - Hull v Watford: In-form Philogene to strike again
Jack Critchley: "I selected the wrong goalscorer in midweek as I opted for Liam Delap over Jaden Philogene vs Rotherham. It's difficult to ignore the form of the former Villa man and he is likely to get plenty of chances this weekend. Hull create ample opportunities on their own patch and the 21-year old is likely to be at the heart of it all.
"Watford are poorer on the road this season and they rarely look like threatening on their travels. Hull should win this and the in-form wideman is likely to play a starring role once again."
European Football Tips & Predictions
14:00 Bundesliga - Bayern Munich v Union Berlin: Sane to make to his mark
Kevin Hatchard: "Although they ended their long run of league defeats last weekend against Augsburg, this Union side are still low on confidence, and I can't see them containing Bayern. The excellent Leroy Sané was rested in midweek (he came on as a second-half sub), and I'll back him to score here at evens.
"The German international already has eight league goals (level with his best ever tally), and he did everything but score in last weekend's 1-0 win at Köln. As long as he's still getting into good scoring positions, if happy to keep backing him to be involved in goals. Bayern have scored a mind-boggling 59 goals in all competitions, and I think they'll make plenty of chances here."
16:00 Ligue 1 - Lens v Lyon: Hosts to cover handicap against miserable visitors
James Eastham: "Lens started the season slowly but have improved since, and will be keen to show their 6-0 midweek defeat to Arsenal was a one-off.
"Unbeaten in eight league games (W5-D3-L0), Lens are showing signs of the performance level that earned them the Ligue 1 runners-up spot last season.
"The difference in standard between these two sides makes Lens the selection. The hosts are 1.74 to win, and those odds are worth taking."
17:30 La Liga - Real Madrid v Granada: Rodrygo to score in Real win
Jamie Kemp: "In his last four appearances, Rodrygo has scored six goals and provided four assists for a teammate. On average, that's a goal or assist every 33 minutes in this run.
"Up next for Ancelotti's side are second-bottom Granada, whose new coach will have the unenviable task of having to begin at the Bernabéu. The Andalusian outfit have conceded 33 goals in 14 games in La Liga this term, while they also rank dead-last for expected goals against (27.9).
"All things considered, I'll take Real Madrid to welcome Alexander Medina to La Liga in pretty unwelcoming terms, along with Rodrygo to make his mark in securing the points for the home side."
