West Bromwich Albion v Leicester City: Back NTT20's 15/2 bet at the Hawthorns

• West Brom have the lowest xG against per 90 in the league

• Leicester have only scored six goals in their last six games

• All three of Leicester's defeats have been by a 1-0 scoreline

If we rewind a month and look at the Championship table at the end of October there were 16 points separating these two sides, but the gap is now 11 and West Brom have the chance here to further cut it to just eight and, in doing so, further fuel the speculation that the Championship will not be the procession of Foxes that was predicted by many.

Leicester have won just one of their last four games and come here wounded after conceding a 93rd minute goal at Hillsborough which meant that they had to settle for a point. Enzo Maresca's side have been the masters of late goals this season, but will now have to bounce back after being on the receiving end of one for the first time.

With Ipswich, Leeds, Southampton and Middlesbrough all winning in midweek and in decent form along with WBA, the queue of clubs hoping this wobble turns into a full on crumble is starting to creep closer, and this game could have a huge say in how the rest of the Championship season develops.

Impenetrable Baggies

The Huddersfield side that Carlos Corberan took to the play-off final were the best in the league at protecting a lead, and this Baggies side look similarly well-drilled. They have the best non-penalty xG per 90 figure in the league and it is improving as the season goes on.

They've won five of their last six games and kept clean sheets in all of those, with most recently Cardiff and Ipswich finding out how hard it is to create big chances against them when chasing the game.

Faltering Foxes

Failure to get all three points here would mean one win in five for Leicester and could see them topple off the top of the table should Ipswich beat Coventry at home.

Having looked ominously good going forward in October, scoring 12 in four at one point, Leicester have scored just six in their last six as that attacking fluidity has eluded them.

Given the strength of the opposition defence here, it's hard to think of many sides better suited in the Championship to allowing Leicester to have the ball while restricting their chance creation.

To Nil On Trend

Leicester have only lost three games this season, but all were a 1-0 scoreline and in each they were surprisingly poor when going behind, especially when hosting a similarly solid defensive side in Leeds a couple of weeks ago.

As mentioned above, four of West Brom's recent wins have come with a clean sheet and the extends to six of their last seven if we go further back in the season. In 21/22 14 of Huddersfield's 23 wins under Corberan came without conceding and that game-plan could be the blueprint for success here.

With Leicester themselves having a very solid defensive record, 1-0 at 15/28.50 looks the value play in this important clash between two of the best teams in the Championship.
