Arsenal were thrilled with their 3-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday but the real beneficiaries in the three-way title race could be Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's team are 1/21.50 to win the title after beating Brentford 3-1 in the first of the champions' two games in hand on leaders Liverpool 13/53.60 and third-place Arsenal 6/17.00.

The Gunners will take a massive morale boost from beating the Reds who suffered only their second defeat of the season.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was at fault for Arsenal's two second-half goals. Jurgen Klopp's team lead the table by two points from Arsenal and five from City, so if the champions were to win both of their games in hand they would be top by a point.

The result sparked talk of a three-way title race which could see Arsenal, Liverpool and City taking the race to the wire.

City are trying to win the league for the fourth consecutive season, Arteta is trying to steet his team to their first title for 20 years and Klopp is trying to bow out as a champion in his final season at Anfield.

Utd 17/2 to catch Spurs and Villa in top 4 race

What a difference a week has made for Manchester United. Eight days ago they were struggling to beat Newport in the FA Cup and Marcus Rashford was making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Now United are back in the Premier League's top six after they followed Thursday's thrilling 4-3 win at Wolves with a 3-0 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford.

Alejandro Garnacho scored a brace as United recorded their best home league win of 2023/24. They are 17/29.50 for a top four finish and eight points off Aston Villa who occupy the last Champions League spot.

United are still odds-against, at 6/52.20, to finish in the top six so punters are not getting carried away with the Red Devils' uptick in form just yet.

Villa are 10/111.91 to finish in the top four after walloping Sheffield United 5-0 at Villa Park. Tottenham are 8/111.73 after they were denied a win at Everton by a 94th minute equaliser.

Chelsea are 7/24.50 to finish in the Premier League's top six after they were beaten 4-2 by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Blades cut adrift in relegation betting

Sheffield United are 1/200 to go straight back to the Championship at the end of the season following their horrorshow defeat at Villa Park.

The 5-0 defeat left the south Yorkshire club 10 points from safety with 15 matches to play.

The team directly above them, Burnley, fought hard for a 2-2 draw at Fulham. The Clarets are 1/141.07 to be relegated.

Luton started the season as relegation favourites but, although they are 4/61.67 for the drop, Rob Edwards' side are outside the relegation zone after another good display.

The Hatters followed their 4-0 win over Brighton with a 4-4 draw at Newcastle on Saturday and, if they do go down, it will be with a fight and the respect of all who have watched and played against them this season.

Everton, who are 18th due to their points deduction, are 10/34.33 for relegation but Crystal Palace may be the better bet at 17/29.50.

The Eagles lost 4-1 at Brighton Saturday and Roy Hodgson is 4/111.36 to be the next English top flight manager to leave.
