Bournemouth v Liverpool

Live on Sky Sports Football

Leg 1: Back Maximillian Aarons to be booked

Bournemouth right-back Max Aarons has featured in 13 Premier League games this season after joining in the summer from Norwich. Generally, he is a first team player who has only missed out through injury.

One thing that has surprised us about Aarons so far this season is his lack of yellow cards in comparison to his last six seasons for Norwich. Aarons received 10 bookings in 45 appearances last season for Norwich. In 2022, he received eight cards in just 34 appearances for the Canaries.

Aarons commits an average of one foul per 90 minutes so far this season and is fouled twice per game. Odds of 4/15.00 for Aarons to be booked in a game where Bournemouth are likely to have less possession than Liverpool and spend large spells under attack, seems generous considering his average cards received throughout his career, barring this season so far.

Leg 2: Alexis Mac Allister to be booked

World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister looks certain to start here for Liverpool given how many players are missing for Klopp's side. The league leaders will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table with Manchester City not playing until next week, but it won't be an easy match here with the lack of senior players available and given the form Bournemouth are in.

Mac Allister has featured in 18 Premier League games this season and has received six yellow cards and one red card. He is averaging a card received every 1.75 games, putting him in the 97th percentile in the league this season for cards per minute.

The Argentinian has committed an average of 1.87 fouls per game and received 1.62. He is a fiery player who competes in over 14 duels per game and often commits cynical fouls and is always likely to receive cards for dissent or kicking the ball away.

There is a lot of pressure on Mac Allister to perform here if Liverpool are to get three points and maintain their form.

The match official - Andy Madley

The man in officiating Sunday afternoons game is Andy Madley. He has refereed 12 Premier League games so far this season and has awarded an average of 5.25 cards per game. The sides here have an average of 4.78 cards shown per game.

Madley has already shown Mac Allister a card this season in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Luton.
