20:00 - Champions League Tips & Predictions
Paul Higham: "Anthony Gordon will be flying all over St James' Park as he usually does in these big games, and e could have some joy against Dortmund.
"Gordon is third on the team in terms of both goals and shots on target, and with all eyes likely on Isak and Wilson perhaps Gordon is the man to back. He's certainly a good price at 21/10 anytime scorer for Gordon and as Newcastle's third option he looks the one to back.
"For Dortmund, Julian Brandt is a big price at 6/1 anytime scorer given he's their to scorer with four and also has five assists to show he's always likely to be involved.
"Brandt has scored in his last two Dortmund appearances so will arrive in form, and even if he doesn't start he's likely to get a goal in there's one to be had."
Mark O'Haire: "The treble winners are now unbeaten in 15 Champions League outings (W10-D5-L0) and will expect to enhance that record in midweek. However, with the Manchester derby on the horizon this weekend, Guardiola may opt to make a few tweaks to his starting line-up.
"One player expected to feature is World Cup winner Julian Alvarez. The eye-catching Argentine has already bagged seven goals across 11 league and Champions League outings in 2023/24 from just 4.10 xG.
"The 23-year-old is averaging a shot every 24 minutes and looks a nice value option at [11/10] in the Player To Score market this midweek."
Lewis Jones: "Unfortunately for Celtic, the man for a big occasion arrives in simply barnstorming form in front of goal, too. Confidence levels should be off the chart for Antoine Griezmann who has scored seven goals in his last five Atletico appearances, including a hat-trick in their 3-0 La Liga victory at Celta Vigo on Saturday.
"There is a huge amount to like regarding his prospects of netting the opening goal at the advertised odds, including the bonus of him being the penalty taker should Atletico get a spot kick.
"Combining him to score first in an away win does seem a simple shout, but sometimes the best bets are the ones staring you in the face. Indeed, simplicity of approach is always the best."
Dan Fitch: "If the competition has a group of death this season, then this is it. PSG were expected to lead the way, but following a 2-0 home win against Borussia Dortmund, they suffered a humiliating 4-1 loss at Newcastle. The Ligue 1 holders have since won their two games back in France, beating Strasbourg 3-0 over the weekend.
"Milan went into the weekend as the leaders in Serie A, but lost 1-0 at home to Juventus on Sunday night, having been reduced to ten-men for much of the game, after Malick Thiaw's sending off. They currently sit third in Group F, after drawing 0-0 with first Newcastle and then Dortmund.
"With home advantage, PSG are the rightful favourites here, but it could be tight, with six of Milan's last seven games seeing a maximum of two goals. A PSG win and under 2.5 goals is 7/2."
EFL Championship Tips and Predictions
Jack Critchley: "Plymouth Argyle have lost their last two home league games - the Pilgrims haven't suffered three home defeats in a row since April/May 2021 under Ryan Lowe"
"Plymouth are not firing on all cylinders and they have netted just twice across their last four matches. They come up against a Sheffield Wednesday side who are acclimatising to a change of management.
"The Owls may have lost to Watford at the weekend, however, they looked a little more organised and they attacked with a little more purpose. A well-coached Wednesday could make life difficult for the misfiring hosts."
NTT20 says: "Crysencio Summerville is available at a similar price to score anytime, and it still represents great value at 100/304.30. The flying Dutchman projects as one of the league's most threatening players.
"Before the weekend, he didn't have the goal return to reflect the level of chances he was having. While his two goals were both fantastic individual efforts, and difficult to replicate, I don't believe this was a once-in-a-season display from Summerville. There's plenty to suggest he's got more goals in him.
"No player who's played more than 700 minutes has a higher xG per 90 figure than Summerville. Only Conor Chaplin and Morgan Whittaker take more shots per 90. Crucially, the right side of Stoke's defence is attack-minded. They didn't pick up Sunderland's Jack Clarke on Saturday, and he tapped home in acres of space."
