Dan Fitch has tips for some of Wednesday's best Champions League fixtures and he has found a big price for a PSG win against AC Milan.
-
Narrow win for PSG over Milan
-
Porto a great price in Belgium
-
Openda can carry on scoring for Leipzig
Antwerp are still looking for their first points in Group H, as they prepare to welcome Porto on Wednesday.
The Belgians have suffered a 5-0 thrashing at Barcelona, followed by a 3-2 home defeat by Shakhtar Donetsk. In addition, their domestic form has also been poor. They lost 3-2 at Sporting Charleroi over the weekend, which means that they have only won one of their last five games in the First Division A (W1 D3 L1).
Porto have three points on the board, after their opening win away at Shakhtar. They lost 1-0 at home to Barcelona, but have since bounced back with a victory over Portimonense and a 2-0 weekend win over Vilar de Perdizes in the Taca de Portugal.
With Antwerp in poor form we have to fancy the away win and odds of 1/12.00 look tempting for Porto to put themselves in a very strong position within the group.
RB Leipzig will be expecting a victory when they host Crvena Zvezda in Group G.
The German club won 3-1 at Young Boys in their opener and then came close to holding Manchester City to a home draw, before eventually conceding two late goals, to lose 3-1. On Saturday they won 3-1 at Darmstadt, to extend their unbeaten stretch in the Bundesliga to seven games (W5 D2).
Having lost 3-1 to Manchester City in their first game in the group, Crvena Zvezda drew 2-2 at home to Young Boys in their last Champions League outing. Given that match represented their best chance of picking up a win, it could now be tough for the Serbians to even finish third and qualify for the Europa League.
This should be a relatively straightforward win for the home team. Let's go with Leipzig to be ahead at half-time and Lois Openda to score at 6/52.20. The Belgian has found the net seven times in twelve appearances for his new club.
The most eagerly anticipated match on Wednesday night, will be PSG's Group F clash with AC Milan.
If the competition has a group of death this season, then this is it. PSG were expected to lead the way, but following a 2-0 home win against Borussia Dortmund, they suffered a humiliating 4-1 loss at Newcastle. The Ligue 1 holders have since won their two games back in France, beating Strasbourg 3-0 over the weekend.
Milan went into the weekend as the leaders in Serie A, but lost 1-0 at home to Juventus on Sunday night, having been reduced to ten-men for much of the game, after Malick Thiaw's sending off. They currently sit third in Group F, after drawing 0-0 with first Newcastle and then Dortmund.
With home advantage, PSG are the rightful favourites here, but it could be tight, with six of Milan's last seven games seeing a maximum of two goals. A PSG win and under 2.5 goals is 7/24.50.
