Marco Rose has yet to solve Borussia Dortmund's defensive problems.

"Mahmoud Dahoud was sent off in the first-half for Dortmund, but they had already gone behind. Conceding goals is something of a habit for this team, who have not kept a clean sheet in eight games."

Back both Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon to score at 1.824/5

Clean sheets are a rarity for Dortmund this season and Dan Fitch is backing Sporting Lisbon to continue that trend in this Group C clash.

Dortmund will give Sporting chance

Borussia Dortmund will be hoping to build on a solid start in Group C, when they take on Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday.

The Germans won their first match 2-1 away in Besiktas. That victory formed part of a four-game winning streak, which ended at the weekend when Dortmund lost 1-0 at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Mahmoud Dahoud was sent off in the first-half for Dortmund, but they had already gone behind. Conceding goals is something of a habit for this team, who have not kept a clean sheet in eight games.

That will give Sporting Lisbon some encouragement, which is much needed after a very poor start to their Group C campaign. Sporting were thrashed 5-1 at home to Ajax, which is the sort of result that it's difficult to recover from. They have bounced back from that humbling defeat in the Primeira Liga, beating Estoril 1-0 and then at the weekend winning by the same scoreline against Martimo.

Goals are reliable with Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are the big favourites at 1.364/11, with the draw at 5.69/2 and Sporting Lisbon at 9.89/1.

Dortmund's defensive issues make it relatively easy to find some value. Both teams to score is 1.824/5 and has landed in seven of their last eight games. A Borussia Dortmund win and both teams to score is 2.6313/8.

The 1-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach over the weekend, was the first game from Dortmund's total of nine, in which at least three goals were not scored. Over 2.5 goals is unsurprisingly a short price at 1.528/15, but when combined with a home win, it gives you another opportunity to back the hosts, this time at odds of 1.84/5.
