Premier League Tips

12:30 - Sheff Utd v Everton

Dave Tindall: "The market tilts towards the visitors with Everton 2.58 to take victory, Sheffield United 3.15 and The Draw the outsider of the three outcomes at 3.3...

"Before Everton did some business in the transfer window, it would have been nigh on impossible to recommend anyone in the goalscorer markets. But just maybe they've unearthed one in Beto. True, the opposition was only Doncaster but the Portuguese frontman took his goal nicely and strikers thrive on seeing the ball hit the back of the net.

"And that debut strike for Everton was actually his second goal in three starts this season as he scored in a Coppa Italia game for Udinese before making the switch to England. So while I expect the goal count to be low, I'm happy to put up Beto to grab one of those prized commodities.

"He's 12/5 to find the net but on the Bet Builder it's a heathy 17/2 for Beto to Score and Under 2.5 Goals. A Beto goal in a 1-1 draw or a 1-0/2-0 Everton win seem very feasable outcomes."

15:00 - Burnley v Tottenham

Dimitar Berbatov: "Burnley are another team that are struggling, I'm pretty sure Vincent Kompany is disappointed with how the season is going. When you play in the Premier League, it takes a while to get used to everything.

"Playing against Spurs, this is a good opportunity for Burnley to try to press them, bully them and get some points in the table.

"Spurs need to continue that trend of building on wins, there will be a little bit of self doubt after the Fulham game, so I will go for a draw."

Prediction: 1-1 @ 6/1

15:00 - Chelsea v Nottingham Forest

The Opta Stat: "Raheem Sterling - who scored all three of Chelsea's goals against Nottingham Forest last season - has attempted more take-ons (21) and made more drives into the box (4) than any other player in the Premier League this season.

"Taiwo Awoniyi has scored in each of his last seven Premier League appearances for Nottingham Forest, including a brace against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in May. The last player to score in eight successive games in the competition was Jamie Vardy between October and December 2019."

15:00 - Brentford v Bournemouth

Stephen Tudor: "In the Premier League, Thomas Frank's men have lost only once at home in two weeks' shy of a year, scoring in each of their last 15 in front of their own fans.

"The bulk of these goals have been converted by Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo, who combined have bagged 10 in their last six outings. Add in an assist or three and they are compensating for the absence of Ivan Toney and then some.

"Where Brentford let themselves down is a sustained failure to maintain leads on home soil, relinquishing winning positions on 15 occasions since the start of last term. Remarkably, they have already done this twice in recent weeks."

17:30 - Brighton v Newcastle

Paul Higham: "Being at the Amex should give Roberto De Zerbi's side the edge but Newcastle's tactics hold the key here, as for me I don't see Howe going for the throat given recent results.

"The Magpies boss will instead try and do a West Ham and sit back, soak up pressure and hit Brighton on the break - as we know the hosts won't change their style.

"If they hadn't both lost their last game I'd expect plenty of goals but in the outrights I'm happier playing the draw at 29/10 given that both sides will be desperate not to lose.

"Four of the last five meetings on the south coast have been stalemates, with all four going under 2.5 goals and two 0-0s. Under 2.5 goals is 13/8 as there's plenty of attacking firewpower on show, but a safety-first approach could just nullify that."

EFL Tips

12:30 - Sunderland v Southampton

Mark O'Haire: "Despite Sunderland's lack of available firepower, the Black Cats have still managed to net in three of their first four fixtures, averaging 9.75 shots inside the penalty box.

"The Wearsiders have also seen Over 2.5 and BTTS in three of their four early-season encounters, whilst 15/22 (68%) Stadium of Light dates under Tony Mowbray have delivered BTTS.

Southampton's opening four outings have each covered both the Over 2.5 Goals line, and also clicked for Both Teams To Score backers with matches averaging a chunky 4.25 goals."

15:00 - Leeds v Sheffield Wednesday

Jack Critchley: "Both teams have scored in each of Leeds United's last nine league matches at Elland Road since a 1-0 win against Southampton in February of last season - there have been 37 goals scored across those nine games (13 for, 24 against)."

"Despite not being able to pick up maximum points at Elland Road, Leeds have dominated in both home matches so far. Nevertheless, the Whites look uncertain at the back and Wednesday, who have netted in both away fixtures so far, should have a chance to get on the scoresheet."

15:00 - Leyton Orient v Stevenage

Alan Dudman: "The O's don't look a great price at 15/8 and certainly can be seen as less propitious than they were in the division below, and Stevenage look fair enough and are certainly the right favourites for this at 6/4.

"They have beaten Northampton and Cambridge on the road and are looking for back-to-back Football League wins over Leyton Orient for the very first time, having beaten them 3-0 most recently in January last season. Their xG numbers are slightly better on the road and could be wrapping up the signing of Manchester United striker Charlie McNeill on loan on Friday's deadline day.

"Stevenage have lost just two of their last 14 league matches (W8 D4), although they are without a win from their last two (D1 L1)."

Bundesliga Tips

17:30 - Borussia MGladbach v Bayern Munich

Kevin Hatchard: "Harry Kane has already scored three league goals in his first two appearances for the German champions Bayern Munich, and he looks razor-sharp.

"Bayern have won their first two league games 4-0 and 3-1, and while they aren't quite at their swaggering best, Kane gives them a real potency in attack. He has already shown his creative side too, setting up an early opener for Leroy Sané in that 4-0 win at Werder Bremen.

"Borussia Mönchengladbach have made a worrying start to the season. They snatched an undeserved point from their 4-4 draw at Augsburg, but then were totally outplayed and outclassed in a Rhineland derby against Bayer Leverkusen, losing 3-0. Losing Lars Stindl, Marcus Thuram, Ramy Bensebaini, Yann Sommer and Jonas Hofmann in the space of a few months was disastrous, and the squad looks thin."

Serie A Tips

19:45 - Napoli v Lazio

Dan Fitch: "The top two teams in Serie A from last season meet on Saturday under very different circumstances.

"While Napoli have made the winning start that was expected of them, Lazio have lost both of their opening two games. A 2-1 defeat against Lecce, in which they conceded twice in the last five minutes, was followed by a 1-0 home loss to Genoa last weekend.

"Napoli are one of four teams to have won both of their two Serie A games, defeating Frosinone and Sassuolo. They start as pretty heavy favourites, but we know Lazio can do better. Avoid the result and go for under 3.5 goals, with Victor Osimhen to score at just under 2/1."

Back under 3.5 goals and Osimhen to score at 2/1
