The Champions League quarter-final frenzy continues on Wednesday when four of the continent's biggest names meet in two showpiece fixtures in Germany and England. With both ties in the balance, another evening of high-octane action in Europe's premier club competition awaits.
Bayern Munich and Arsenal will start at level pegging at the Allianz Arena where the Gunners will be aiming to lay some old ghosts to rest, while the stage is set in Manchester for another goal bonanza between current champions City and record winners Real Madrid.
The markets for the quarter-final second legs are ripe for plundering and below, we've laid out some expertly-chosen bet builder tips for both fixtures.
Leg 1 - Bayern Munich v Arsenal Bet Builder
Tip: Harry Kane to score or assist & William Saliba to commit 1+ fouls
Former Tottenham talisman Harry Kane just loves scoring against Arsenal. The 30-year-old Bayern Munich striker scored for the 15th time against the Gunners in last week's first leg and Kane's strike from the penalty spot also allowed him to set a new record.
Kane's 32nd-minute conversion was his sixth goal at The Emirates Stadium, a tally that makes him the highest-scoring visiting player ever at the ground ahead of Jamie Vardy and Diego Costa (five each).
The England international has been enjoying a sensational maiden campaign with Bayern Munich in 2023/24. He has already lodged 39 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for the Bavarians. It would be just like the ex-Spurs centre-forward to punish Arsenal again on Wednesday and Kane represents excellent value at 1.738/11 to either score or assist in the second leg.
Kane's battle with Arsenal centre-half William Saliba in the first leg was an intense physical tussle and one of the more intriguing individual head-to-heads in North London. The pair should be ready to resume their rivalry on Wednesday.
Kane committed three fouls in the first leg, though Saliba gave away four free kicks in total - the most the French defender has given away in a single sitting in any competition so far this season.
The 23-year-old has also clocked at least one foul in six of his last seven starts in the Champions League, so back Saliba in the 1+ fouls market again here.
Leg 2 - Manchester City v Real Madrid
Tip: Bernardo Silva to have 1+ shots on target and Erling Haaland to commit 1+ fouls
Versatile Portuguese star Bernardo Silva has been the scourge of Real Madrid over the past couple of seasons and the diminutive midfielder rose to the occasion again last week when he planted a quick-thinking free kick past Los Blancos keeper Andriy Lunin after just two minutes.
The 29-year-old has a knack for producing some of his best work against Real Madrid in the Champions League's knockout stage and Silva scored twice for City against the Spanish outfit in last year's semi-final second leg at The Etihad Stadium, while the ex-Monaco man also scored and assisted in two appearances against Real again in the competition's last four the year before that.
Silva is available at a hefty 2.3811/8 to continue his steak by either scoring or assisting against Real Madrid again this week, though backing the technician to have at least one shot on target could be a safer inclusion at 1.834/5.
Elsewhere, Erling Haaland catches the eye to commit 1+ fouls against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening. The Norwegian striker was kept on the periphery of the action last week by the tight marking of Antonio Rudiger and Haaland racked up more fouls (two) than shots (one) on a frustrating evening for the 23-year-old in Spain.
Haaland will renew his scuffle with Rudiger this week and fouls in both directions look possible. The prolific striker fouled at least one in nine of his last 15 Premier League appearances and three times in his last two outings in the Champions League combined, so a one-foul target shouldn't be too much of an ask.
