In-form sides clash at the London Stadium
West Ham and Manchester United clash on Tuesday night having won seven of the their last eight Premier League games between them. And it could quite easily have been eight out of eight had the Hammers not collapsed from 2-0 up at Chelsea 10 days ago.
Despite winning three of their last four Nuno Espirito Santo's men remain in the relegation zone, though thanks to Nottingham Forest's 3-1 defeat at Leeds on Friday night the gap is now just three points between themselves and Forest.
Perhaps just as encouraging as the results for Santo will be the fact that his men are scoring regularly, and they're not just relying on Jarrod Bowen. The Hammers have scored nine goals in their last four games coming from five different goalscorers, and in attacking midfielder Crysencio Summerville they have a player in red hot form who will be looking to score for the sixth game running on Tuesday night.
United are in even better form than West Ham having won all of their last four games, maintaining Michael Carrick's 100% winning start as the club's interim manager.
Saturday's 2-0 win over Tottenham has the Red Devils fourth in the table, just three points behind Aston Villa in third, though they are a large-looking 12 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
And like the Hammers they have a massively in-form player. In fact there might no be a more in-form player in the top flight currently than Bruno Fernandes who has 11 goal involvements (four goals, seven assists) in his last eight Premier League games.
Excellent recent record for the Hammers
On the Betfair Sportsbook, Man United are the odds-on favourites to win the game at 7/101.70, while the hosts can be backed at 17/54.40 and the the Draw at 10/34.33. In what could be an end-to-end entertaining clash I couldn't put any one off taking a chance on West Ham as the outsider of the three outcomes.
It's not a bet I want to have myself but if you're looking for some encouragement then it comes in the shape of recent head-to-heads between the two teams. The Hammers have won all of their last three games at the London Stadium against United, and in their last six clashes (home and away) their record reads W4-D1-L1.

Form book says we should expect goals
I'm going to let recent form guide me for my bets in this game, and by that I primarily mean goalscoring form. Both teams will be on a high and full of confidence after their recent victories, and they'll both fancy their chances of scoring a few goals.
West Ham have scored in each of their last six games in all competitions at an average of exactly two goals per game, and since November they've played eight Premier League games in front of their own fans, scoring three goals on three occasions as well as two against both Aston Villa and Brighton.
We've highlighted previously United's excellent goalsocring form on the road, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Since losing 3-0 at Man City in mid-September the Red Devils have scored in all 10 away games including scoring at least two on seven occasions. They've scored 10 goals in total in their four games under Carrick including three at Arsenal in their last away game.
Carrick's men had 10 shots on target against Tottenham at the weekend and they've averaged around seven per game in their last four wins, which when you consider they've faced the likes of Arsenal and Man City in that time isn't bad at all.
West Ham averaged 4.75 shots on target in their four most recent games, so between them, the Hammers and United have averaged around 12 shots on target per game in recent weeks. If we get around 12 shots on target on Tuesday night then Over 3.5 Goals has an excellent chance of landing. In what I'm expecting to be a wide open affair, that will be my best bet of the game.

I've followed the form book for my main bet of the game so given I'm confident that this will be a very entertaining clash with chances at both ends - cue the 0-0 - then it makes sense to follow the form book for a massive price Bet Builder.
And it's a pretty logical one with all four selections being explained already.
Summerville has scored for five games running, so let's chance that he makes it six with an anytime goal, and Fernandes has five assists to his name in his last five games (seven in his last eight games) so hopefully he can grab another assist on Tuesday night.
Finally, let's add in those shots on target numbers to the mix. West Ham are averaging close to five per game in their last four outings and United are averaging close to seven per game. Combine all four selections in a Bet Builder that pays out at 50/151.00. Not bad for four selections that completely fit the recent form book.
