Could Klopp be tempted by Camp Nou role?
Mikel Areta is the early favourite to succeed Xavi who will leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
The Arsenal manager is 3/14.00 to be next one in the Camp Nou hotsteat and, after reviving Arsenal's fortunes, could appeal to the Barca board.
Arteta's team pushed Manchester City in the last season's title race and they are not out of it in 2023/24.
He was born in San Sebastian but cut his team in the Barcelona B team and returning to the club with a brief to bring back the glory days could appeal to him.
The current manager of Barca B - Rafael Marquez who played for Barcelona - is 10/34.33 to get the job.
Mourinho and Flick could be candidates to manage Barcelona
Another man with links to Barcelona, having worked there as a translator long before he managed Real Madrid, is Jose Mourinho 7/18.00.
He was in charge of Madrid during some fiery Clasicos against Barcelona so it would be a surprise if he succeeded club legend Xavi.
Mourinho is out of work after being sacked by Roma but Hansi Flick is also without a club after being dismissed by the German national team. At 7/18.00, he is a Champions League winner, after steering Bayern Munich to glory in 2020.
Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta, who is enjoying success with La Liga club Las Palmas, is also 7/18.00.
Could it be Klopp to Barcelona?
Jurgen Klopp said on Friday, when he annouced that he will leave Liverpool this summer, that he did not have the energy to continue in the high-pressure job.
With that in mind, he would seem like an unlikely candidate to manage Barcelona where managers are arguably under even more pressure than at top Premier League clubs.
Then again, Klopp has never managed in Spain and a change could be as good as a break for recharging the batteries. There are similarities too between Barca's current state and the situation he found Liverpool in when he took charge in 2015.
Both are massive clubs, with passionate fan bases and famous stadiums, that have been overshadowed in recent years by their rivals. He is 9/110.00 but the timing does probably not suit him.
His biggest rival in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola, is 15/28.50 to return to the team where he won Champions League titles as a manager. He is [5/1], meanwhile, to be England's next manager.
It has been an eventful few days for some of the biggest clubs and their managers. Get the latest on the manager betting at Betting.Betfair.
