Jamie Kemp: "Diogo Jota hasn't started a game for Liverpool in two months, but the anticipation for him to return to the XI has been growing in recent weeks. With his side only scoring two goals from 9.1 xG across their last three games, Thursday night looks a good time for the man Jamie Carragher describes as the team's best finisher to make his starting return.
"Jota has the best minutes per goal ratio of any Liverpool player across all competitions this season (minimum 500 minutes played), while his shot conversion rate of 23% is also the highest of any individual this term. Not to mention, on his last away trip to Atalanta in November 2020 the Portuguese ended up with the match ball following a 38-minute hat-trick.
Meanwhile, having previously backed Atalanta to be able to score themselves on Thursday night, I'll stick with the form man Gianluca Scamacca to do the heavy lifting there. Including a brace in the first leg of this tie, the 25-year-old has scored seven goals in his last eight appearances and netted in each of his last three outings (four goals)."
Kevin Hatchard: "Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Alex Grimaldo are all expected to return to the starting XI here. Between the three of them, they have scored 28 goals and produced 29 assists in this season's Bundesliga.
"West Ham missed their chance last week, as they chose to try and dig in and defend instead of trying to disrupt Die Werkself. With Lucas Paqueta missing through suspension, West Ham are arguably without their best player, and Leverkusen clearly prioritised this game with their weekend team selection.
"I'll back Bayer/Draw Double Chance, the West Ham keeper to make three saves or more (Lukasz Fabianski had to make nine saves in the first leg), and Florian Wirtz to either score or assist. That comes out at a combined price of 3.1 on the Bet Builder."
James Eastham: "Given how well-matched the sides are, it would be no surprise to see the game go to extra-time. This is an outcome worth considering in the betting markets.
"Marseille in ET and Benfica in ET are both available in the Method of Victory market on the Sportsbook at 12/1, while Either Team in ET is available at 6/1. In the same market, you can back Marseille on Pens and Benfica on Pens at 12/1, or Either Team on Pens at 6/1.
"All of these prices are appealing given that there's so little to pick between the teams. Our preference would be to split our stakes across Either Team in ET and Either Team on Pens, so that we make a profit should one of these two outcomes occur."
Dan Fitch: "With Roma's form and the home advantage, they are expected to process at 4/11 in the To Qualify market, with Milan out at 21/10.
"Those odds of 9/5 for Roma to win the match are tempting, considering their recent record. Milan have no choice but to go for it and may well get on the scoresheet this time. You can back a home win and both teams to score at 9/2.
"For those that are more cautious, combining both teams to score with Roma double chance, pays out at 7/5. Roma have of course been keeping it tight of late. You can combine a home win with under 3.5 goals at 11/4, or under 2.5 goals at 5/1."
Europa Conference League Tips and Predictions
Dan Fitch: "Lille will hope that their extra recovery time will prove crucial when they host Aston Villa.
"The French club have not had to play since losing 2-1 at Villa Park last week. Bafode Diakite scored the late goal which put Lille back in contention in the tie, which, with their impressive home record, gives them a chance to progress. Lille have not lost at home since September, running up a 15-match unbeaten sequence since then (W11 D4).
"Villa followed up their win against Lille with an impressive 2-0 victory at Arsenal. You can make the argument that they will come into the game on a high, or that the visitors lack of rest, puts them at a disadvantage. Either way, a combination of both teams to score and over 2.5 goals looks likely to land again, this time at 23/20."
Andy Robson: "Vincenzo Italiano's troops have taken their eye off the ball domestically in recent weeks, though a focus on continental success might be behind their slump in Serie A. However, Fiorentina have lost only two of their last 16 matches at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, and home advantage could get them over the line against Plzen.
"To their credit, Viktoria have yet to lose in the Conference League this season, however, a test in Italy against Fiorentina represents their stiffest challenge to date and they have struggled against higher-calibre opponents before.
"Viktoria lost six games out of six in last season's Champions League group stage, conceding 24 times along the way and they might come up short again in a tough European fixture on Thursday."
