Welcome to Wednesday where racing takes you up and down the country and across the Irish Sea.

Money Talk

Money Talk continues to highlight the Betfair Sportsbook big-money moves to keep you in the loop. This section will now highlight market moves between 1:00 am and 9:00 am.

16:20 Uttoxeter - Billy The Squid 10/1 into 7/1
16:50 Hamilton - Peggy Sioux 5/1 into 11/4
17:15 Bath - Real Estate 6/1 into 9/2
18:05 Worcester - Haul Away 10/3 into 5/2

The market says LAY!

Which horses at the head of the market are on the drift on the Betfair Sportsbook this morning?

15:50 Uttoxeter - Goldencard 11/5 OUT 5/2

The market suggests that Goldencard could have plenty on his plate with five other horses in the market seeing support this morning. The last time he was this short in the market was in 2019, and his recent SP odds of 9/1, 11/1, 20/1 and 25/1 in four of his last five starts suggest he will go off bigger than the current 5/2.

Race of the day

We head to Hamilton for the 18:20 Careers In Racing With scottishracingacademy.co.uk Handicap. A small but competitive field of six go to post, and the market suggests this is wide open.

Innse Gall was a good winner at Ayr last time out over ten furlongs, and the handicapper has been fair with a five pounds rise. He was impressive on the eye, but the bare form of that race hasn't really worked out, and he was well positioned towards the head of affairs.

This looks like a deeper contest on paper, but the step up in trip could prompt further improvement.

He's interesting, I wouldn't be overly confident about this new trip for him, and that's where my doubts lie.

Euro Implosion still looked ahead of the handicapper back in July but threw in a poor one five days ago when he stepped into a Class 3 event.

That could be worth forgiving now back down into a Class 5, and his form is some of the strongest on offer in this contest, including in defeat last season.

He is another interesting runner in a trappy heat and will be in the mix if he can shrug off that tame effort last time.

Golden Dove has taken a wild walk in the market this morning, but he bumped into a progressive and useful rival last time out and stuck on at the finish to suggest another step up in trip was well worth the try.

This is a drop back in grade and a far easier contest than he has had for some time.

He surely has more to come and is another who can't be ruled out.

Final Word

There is plenty to look forward to as Haydock's three-day meeting gets underway tomorrow, with the highlight on Saturday, the Sprint Cup.

It doesn't look as though the rain will arrive, which means Starman may prove hard to beat in the feature. There looks to be a good bit of value floating around, though, including with the previously mentioned Brando at big odds who I will be sticking with, and Creative Force is a better horse away from Newmarket, in my opinion. Both have little to find with the short priced fav.

After all, it's boring backing short-priced horses, and there's nothing like the thrill of getting one beat!

Until tomorrow, be lucky.
