14:40 York - High Fibre to complete hat-trick

James Owen runs two in this two-mile handicap, with Ceiron Fallon's mount High Fibre looking the one to be interested in after beating stablemate Percy Shelley, who joins him here, at Newmarket last time.

High Fibre is yet another horse to have thrived for the switch to Owen, winning the valuable Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen in July after making his stable debut at York eight days earlier.

Stepped up to two miles on the Flat for the first time at Newmarket last month, High Fibre was well in command through the last two furlongs, and a 5 lb rise seems unlikely to prevent another bold bid.

15:50 York - Double Rush well up to listed level

Four-year-old Double Rush hadn't had much racing prior to this season, so despite starting the year on a BHA mark of 90, he still had scope for progress in handicaps and proved the point with a hat-trick.

Having switched from Charlie Hills last season to Andrew Balding, who has the 'Hot Trainer' flag, Double Rush followed two wins at Newmarket with a smart effort to win the Wokingham at Royal Ascot.

That form was good enough to make him a July Cup contender, but while he underperformed up in grade there, he looks well up to winning dropped to listed company here where he heads the Timeform ratings.

17:00 York - Inspired appeals under penalty

Inspired has been in top form for 'Hot Trainer' Karl Burke with two wins and two seconds to his name this summer and can notch another win in the apprentice handicap which closes the York card.

He won on turf for the first time on very firm ground at Hamilton in July but showed he can handle much softer conditions at Goodwood last week when resuming winning ways with something in hand.

Inspired therefore looks capable of defying a penalty in this bigger field, especially as he has a low draw which is important over the mile at York, with Toby Moore taking 3 lb off his back.
