Today's Racing Tips: Two fancies in the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh on Sunday

The Irish Cesarewitch on Sunday sees 30 runners head to post over the marathon trip and in these types of races you are always looking for a big price to fill the frame. However, the money has come for the top two in the betting, and I think the market has it spot on.

The Reverend for owner Tony Bloom and trainer Willie Mullins was moved from William Haggas having reached a rating of 98 on the flat and was sent to the Closutton maestro to go jumping.

A winner on his first spin over hurdles when lacking fluency in his jumping but showing smart ability between his flights, he was then sent into the Grade 1 Tattersalls Ireland Novice Hurdle at the DRF when it didn't go to plan, clipping heels and unseating Harry Cobden.

The hurdling plan has now been put on the back burner, and he was seen back on the flat 15 days ago when blowing the cobwebs away in a competitive 21 runner handicap finishing back in fourth, but was only just over a length behind the winner over 1m5f.

That was a perfect prep run for this event. Now with the extra trip set to suit and staying on the same mark of 103 this race looks to have been his early season plan for a top yard and connections.

Having been backed from 6/17.00 into 5/16.00 already for connections you have to follow the money, and with Betfair offering six places to each way punters, it looks an each way bet to nothing if he runs to his potential.

The second in the market Tim Toe for Henry De Bromhead has some of the best form on offer in this race and using Betfair's six places, he is another I would be disappointed in not to fill the frame.

A winner of a bumper in Thurles on his racecourse debut, he was then moved to Henry De Bromhead under the ownership of Robcour and ran to a good standard in both his hurdles starts in 2025.

Returning in April this year on the flat at Bellewstown, he got off the mark at the first time of asking over 1m3f and then ran another credible race not finishing far behind the talented Kizlyar and Sky Captain who he takes on again on Sunday.

Given a spin over a mile at Listowel when winning cosily off a mark of 91, he ran off the same mark at Royal Ascot in the 2m4f Ascot Stakes when again running a superb race to finish third behind the winner Kizlyar and second Defiantly for Joseph O'Brien.

Kizlyar has since finished a good second to Queenstown in the Group 3 Irish St Leger Trial and Defiantly has gone on to win both of his events at Goodwood in the 2m4f Goodwood Handicap and at Deauville in the Group 2 Prix Kergorlay over 1m7f.

Tim Toe has been saved since his Royal Ascot run for this event and only racing off 3lb higher on Sunday leaves him with a huge chance with the handicapper on his form.
