Northern Ireland v Denmark
Monday 19:45 (Live on Viaplay Sports 1)
In Liechtenstein last night, Gerson Rodrigues got his goal but it was the only one Luxembourg managed, as they had a man sent off after 5 minutes. 1-0 wasn't enough to beat the handicap we'd set them.
We're in Denmark today. Group H winners Denmark still have a shot at securing a top seeding in Euro 2024, but they need to win this one and hope other results go their way. That should be a motivating factor for Kasper Hjulmand's men and we fancy them to get the result they want.
Northern Ireland are W2-D0-L7 in Group H and the only team they've avoided defeat against is San Marino. Five of those seven defeats have come by a 1-0 scoreline and they've failed to score in 6/7.
Most recently, Michael O'Neill's men lost 4-0 in Finland last week. The boss continues to deal with injuries this week, limiting his options for a change of personnel.
After a shaky start, the Danes have won their last five qualifiers. Hjulmand has a lengthy injury list of his own - Manchester United pair Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojland are among the absentees - but the combination of confidence and motivation should help them past today's opponents.
We'll take the visitors to win and we also like them to keep a clean sheet. The Irish have failed to score in 8/10 home qualifiers (excluding playoffs) since late 2019, so we'll also back Denmark to Win to Nil.
Given the absentees, the man most likely to fire the Danes to a win is Jonas Wind. The Wolfsburg forward has scored three times in Group H already and is averaging a couple of shots a game. Put him to score anytime in a Bet Builder with the Denmark win and you will be paid out at 2.6213/8.
