Back France to win & Mbappe to score
Greece v France
Tuesday 19:45 (Live on Viaplay Sports 2)
There was a surprise in Northern Ireland last night. The hosts beat Denmark 2-0 to take down our bet and land their first win against a team not named San Marino for a while.
We're closing the international window with a trip to Athens. Group B leaders France have won 7/7 so far and can a complete a perfect campaign against Greece, who are comfortable in third - whatever happens here, they will go into a playoff for a place at Euro 2024 next summer.
Gus Poyet's hosts lost 1-0 at home to the Netherlands last time out in Group B. They've lost 3/3 home and away to the group's top two (the Dutch and French) and all without scoring.
Kylian Mbappe is, of course, the man to watch for the visitors. He grabbed a hat-trick in the 14-0 destruction of Gibraltar last weekend. The Saturday before that, he hit another treble for PSG at Reims.
Mbappe has netted at least once in 6/8 international appearances since his World Cup final hat-trick last year - and in 17/25 since summer 2021. He's averaging 5 shots a game in Group B.
With France conceding just once across seven previous Group B games, Mbappe can be the difference maker.
The France Win to Nil is an appealing option but, with Jules Kounde and William Saliba are missing from their first-choice defence, we'll use the Sportsbook's Bet Builder to back the visitors to win any which way and their main man to score at around 2.526/4.
