Paul Higham is looking at Dusan Vlahovic to make a fast start as Juventus host Empoli in Friday's Serie A clash..
- Juve unbeaten at home and scored 2+ goals in four of five
- Empoli won away at Juve last season
- Vlahovic has scored first in four of seven scoring games
Max Allegri eased some of the pressure on his shoulders as Juventus beat dery rivals Torino 1-0 last time out, but there's still work to do as the Old Lady host Empoli on Friday night.
Juve have been taking damaging defeats from all angles recently - suffering a shock defeat at Monza and convincing loss to AC Milan in the league added to a Champions League defeat against Benfica and huge upset against Maccabi Haifa.
A narrow 1-0 success in the Derby della Mole has bought Allegri time, but with Juve only either in Serie A and 10 points off leaders Napoli there's not much breathing space from here on in.
Now comes an Empoli who have only lost one of their five away games this season amd who also scored an upset win here at Juventus at the start of last season.
Paolo Zanetti's side have been tough to beat, lead the league in draws with five but have not yet visited a top 10 side so this will be a step up.
Juve had won nine home fixtures against Empoli in a row before last season's upset, they're unbeaten at home in the league this season and have scored twice in four of five games.
Empoli's games haven't involved a lot of goals but they have scored in four of their last five away games so could well find a goal here - just in case though we'll go for the over 2.5 goals instead of both teams to score - both are priced 4/5.
Juve's Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic got the winner against Torino in what was the fourth time in seven goalscoring games when he's scored the first goal.
He's the 3/1 favourite to score first here but given his form and the fact he's scored three in three against Empoli he's worth taking to add a bit more juice to our Friday night Bet Builder.
