Kazakhstan v Northern Ireland: Back an 11/2 shots treble in Astana

It's looking like a fruitless qualifying camaign for Northern Ireland, who have slipped to four straight defeats after starting the campaing by beating San Marino.

A first trip to Astana is next up for Michael O'Neill's men after they at least scored a couple of goals as they lost 4-2 in Slovenia during the week.

Kazakhstan beat Denmark and won in Belfast to put themselves right in the qualification picture, and even a home defeat against Finland on Thursday they're still just three points off the Fins who top the group - but he play Denmark next.

So will Northern Ireland restore some pride of can Kazakhstan get back to winning ways? Even if they don;t we think they'll bring their shooting boots with them...

Leg 1: Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov 1+ shot on target

Firstly, Kazakhstan have had 22 shots in their five Euro qualifiers, admittedly only two in Belfast against Northern Ireland but this game has a bit more urgency about it.

They also had seven attempts that night so just a bit more sharpening up could lead to a few more hitting the target.

Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov operates just behind the front man in Magomed Adiyev's system and has returned a couple of goals from seven shots.

Four of those have hit the target so he's pretty accurate, and with that sort of return we're happy he's 10/111.91 for 1+ shot on target.

Leg 2: Askhat Tagybergen 1+ shot on target

Askhat Tagybergen operates further back in midfield but is never afriad to pull the trigger, having 10 shots so far in qualifying.

Just three of those have hit the target and two have ended up in the back of the net, so he's an obvious threat.

He's 7/52.40 for 1+ shot on target and as the Kazakhstan captain he'll be looking to lead by example by letting fly at goal as often as possible.

Leg 3: Abat Aymbetov 1+ shot on target

As Kazakhstan showed in their 3-2 win over Denmark that they can muster up plenty of attacks against some decent sides - with 14 shots and eight on target against the Danes.

Aymbetov scored the last-minute winner against Northern Ireland in Belfast, as part of two goals in his last three for his country.

Operating as the lone striker he'll be the focal point so we're more than hapy with a quote of 4/51.80 for just the one shot on target.
