Serie A Tips: Inter will concede first goals of season in Milan derby

Stefano Pioli's AC Milan team have been scoring regularly this season.

Inter have yet to concede this season, but Dan Fitch has his money on AC Milan ending that run, as he previews the weekend Serie A action.

  • Goals can flow in Milan derby between Serie A top two

  • Lazio looking to build on Napoli win when they face Juve

  • Fiorentina and Atalanta likely to guarantee goals

  • Roma will win first game of the season

Juventus v Lazio (Saturday, 14:00)

Juventus face their most dangerous opponent so far in this fledgling Serie A season, when Lazio travel to Turin.

The Old Lady are unbeaten in three games (W2 D1) and are third in the table, but have faced relatively modest opposition in the form of Udinese, Bologna and Empoli. Juve will go into this game without Paul Pogba, who is provisionally suspended for a doping offence.

Lazio lost their first two games, but bounced back in spectacular fashion with a 2-1 win at the champions Napoli. This should be competitive and both teams to score can be backed at 20/231.87.

Back both Juventus and Lazio to score at 20/231.87

Inter v AC Milan (Saturday, 17:00)

The big match of the weekend takes place on Saturday, when the Derby della Madonnina hits the San Siro.

It could scarcely be more perfectly poised. The early season heavyweight clash sees Inter top of Serie A with three straight wins, just ahead of AC Milan, who also have a perfect record. Both already have notable scalps to their name, with Inter thrashing Fiorentina before the international break and Milan winning away at Roma in their last outing.

Inter of course won the most recent games between the two teams, when they won both legs of the Champions League semi-finals, but Milan may be able to get on the scoresheet this time, with both teams having scored eight goals from their three games. Back Inter double chance, both teams to score and under 4.5 goals at 6/42.50.

Fiorentina v Atalanta (Sunday, 17:00)

Two contenders for a Serie A top four spot are in action on Sunday, as Fiorentina host Atalanta.

Of the two, it is the visitors that have made the brighter start to the season so far, winning two of their three games (L1). Fifth in the table, Gianluca Scamacca scored his first goals for the club, when he notched a brace in the 3-0 win over Monza in Atalanta's most recent match.

Fiorentina are looking to recover from that 4-0 drubbing by Inter. With the Viola's three games producing a total of 13 goals so far, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score seems value at 10/111.91.

Back both Fiorentina and Atalanta to score and over 2.5 goals at 10/111.91

Roma v Empoli (Sunday, 19:45)

Roma find themselves in the embarrassing position of finding themselves in an early season bottom-three showdown with Empoli.

The visitors are bottom of Serie A, having lost all three of their games, without scoring a single goal. Yet Roma are only a point ahead of them in 18th place. After a disappointing home draw with Salernitana, they have lost to Verona and AC Milan.

We have to assume that Roma's class with tell. A home win and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 13/102.30.

Back Roma to beat Empoli and over 2.5 goals at 13/102.30
