Past meetings strongly point to away win

The head-to-head numbers make a strong case for Manchester United here despite the noise surrounding them. Fulham have won just one of their last 21 meetings with United, while the visitors have won each of their last eight trips to Craven Cottage. That is quite some dominance away from home.

But for me, the more interesting part of the United case is what is happening underneath the iffy results.

There has been plenty of criticism of Michael Carrick's side, but they are not struggling to get into dangerous areas. United currently top the Premier League charts for touches in the opposition box and sit second for total expected goals output. That tells us the attacking process is producing plenty of opportunity, even if the scoreboard has not always rewarded it.

And that is the bit I don't want to ignore when looking at 10/111.91 for an away win.

Fulham are at 12/53.40 on the Betfair Sportsbook, but United's ability to consistently work the ball into the opposition penalty area gives them a platform to cause problems. If those chances start converting at a more normal rate, the narrative around United can change very quickly, especially up against such an open structure in defence that Fulham are showcasing.

The price is doing enough to tempt me in.

Goals, goals, goals on the menu?

There is a temptation to look at 8/151.53 for over 2.5 goals and think the price is too short. But the way these two teams are approaching games makes me think this could be one of those occasions where the obvious-looking bet is obvious for a reason.

United's matches produced more goals than any other Premier League side last season, with 119 across their 38 games. That tells you plenty about the entertainment factor, but the defensive numbers are arguably even more relevant here. United have kept just three clean sheets in their last 15 Premier League matches.

That gives Fulham encouragement, particularly with Alvaro Arbeloa clearly wanting his side to express themselves in forward areas. There is a willingness to commit bodies and attack, but the trade-off is that games can become stretched.

And we have already seen that at Craven Cottage this season, with their home matches ending in 3-2 defeats. That feels significant rather than coincidental.

United have enough attacking quality to contribute to a high-scoring game themselves. I'm expecting another open game at the Cottage.

Josh can be the King of the Cottage

Josh King has arguably been one of the most impressive attacking players in the Premier League this season, at least to my eye. Thomas Tuchel has missed a trick not including him in his England squad.

There is a directness to his game that I really like from a betting perspective. He wants to drive at defenders, carries the ball with purpose and looks to have the confidence and quality to hurt teams at this level.

The numbers back up the eye test, too. King has registered 11 shots in four league appearances, with five finding the target, while he has already scored twice.

The really interesting thing for me is the role. Fulham are encouraging their attacking players to express themselves and King appears to have the freedom to pick up positions where he can attack space and defenders. That makes me reluctant to expect his current output to suddenly disappear.

The 4/61.67 for King to have a shot on target against this United defence therefore looks like a really strong base for a Bet Builder.

But I'm more interested in the 3/14.00 anytime goalscorer price.

King has already shown he can turn his involvement into goals and, given the freedom he is being afforded, I can see plenty of opportunities coming his way against United.

For me, King to have a shot on target at 4/61.67 is the foundation, while 3/14.00 anytime goalscorer is the more aggressive angle. If his current level of involvement continues, he looks capable of making a big mark on this game.

Why not combine all three of Lewis' angles - Man Utd to win, over 2.5 goals and Josh King to score - at 10/111.00.
