You can back Juventus at 3.185/40 on Sportsbook for the Serie A title – the best price you’ll get on that anywhere, including the Exchange."

Listen to the podcast here and read below for a summary of the panel's best bets

Champions League - gameweek 1 review

Mark: Bayern Munich 4.3100/30 proved in their steamrollering of Atletico that they're here to stay and are deserved outright favourites."

Jason: "Man City 5.95/1 and Bayern were rightly top of the market at the outset. They're a cut above everyone else. If I was going to have an outside bet it would be Atalanta 29.028/1 or Inter 38.037/1."

What does Van Dijk injury mean for betting on Liverpool?

Jason: "The odds indicate that Virgil van Dijk is worth a quarter of a goal to Liverpool. His loss has an immediate impact on the betting. But Joel Matip, Fabinho or whoever plays can forge a partnership over the season. Liverpool's price to win the league looks a bit big but Van Dijk is a massive loss."

We asked the panel for their favourite SGM selections this weekend.

Jason: "I'm backing Man City to be winning at half-time/full-time against West Ham and Raheem Sterling to score."

Mark: "I'm backing Brighton to beat West Brom and over 1.5 goals in the game at 2.0521/20."

Premier League - weekend bets

Fulham v Crystal Palace

Mark: "Fulham's signings have made an impact. Now is the time to get them onside at a nice price. Palace won at United but apart from that they have a poor away record. Fulham double chance (win or draw) and under 3.5 goals at 1.84/5 is the bet."

Man Utd v Chelsea

Jason: "At the prices if I had to back anyone I'd rather back Chelsea. But for a SGM I'd give you both teams to score, Bruno Fernandes to score, Jorginho to be booked. As it's United, I'd also back a penalty to be awarded."

Mark: "I expect an open game and would back both teams and over 2.5 goals."

Southampton v Everton

Mark: "Both teams have issues at the back so goals are the way to play in this one. Over 2.5 goals at around 1.84/5 and both teams to score."

Burnley v Spurs

Jason: "I cannot make the Spurs price any shorter. They play in the Europa League on Thursday so there's potential for injuries there. I would take an early lay of Spurs. They won't like the tight away dressing room at Turf Moor."

Brighton v West Brom

Mark: "Brighton are probably the most unlucky team in the Premier League so far this season. I like them at about 1.834/5 at home to a poor West Brom team who have been totally outplayed in both boxes. Add over 1.5 goals if you want to get just over even odds."

El Clasico - Barcelona v Real Madrid

Kev: "Barca are 2.166/5 and Real Madrid are 3.16 with the draw 3.7511/4."

Mark: "I have no confidence in either side here and am looking toward the draw, possibly with under 2.5 goals. The last 18 meeting have seen both sides get at least two cards each. You could treble up on the players - like Sergio Ramos and Marcello - to receive a card."

Jason: "The goals have not flowed in recent Clasicos. Madrid lack intensity. The Barca price looks a bit short. Lay Barca at those prices."

The Revierderby - Borussia Dortmund v Schalke

Mark: "Dortmund look like they might be on course to underachieve again. But after losing to Lazio in the Champions League this is the best possible match for Dortmund. They have a fantastic attack and Dortmund -1.75 at 1.84/5 is appealing against a Schalke team that haven't kept a clean sheet this season.

Kevin: "Dortmund and in-form Erling Haaland to score at 1.684/6 is my SGM."

Other European football bets this weekend

Kevin: "Over 3.5 in RB Leipzig v Hertha. There's a good chance this will land."

Mark: "Lazio to win and over 1.5 goals against Bologna. Both teams like to play on the front foot."

Jason: "Sassuolo are too short in their match against Torin. As for the Serie A outrights - Juventus are too short across the board for the title. You can back them at 3.185/40 on Sportsbook - the best price you'll get on that anywhere, including the Exchange."

Jason: "In Vallodolid v Alaves you can lay the hosts for about 2.466/4 and that's what I'm doing. I think the draw is a very strong runner in what's expected to be a low-scoring game."

Podcast OddsBoost, was 11/4, now 7/2

Kevin: Both teams to score in Southampton v Everton
Mark: Wolves to beat Newcastle
Jason: Man City to beat West Ham
