After three winners and three losing bets this week, Kev's hoping to tip the balance in his favour with a winner in Belgium.
"Brugge have won their last 12 home games in league and cup, and ten of those wins have featured three goals or more."
Club Brugge v Sporting Charleroi
Sunday February 04, 17:00
A night of missed opportunities in Monchengladbach, although one young man took his chance wonderfully well. Ademola Lookman scored on his Leipzig debut in the closing stages of his side's 1-0 win at Borussia, but by then we'd realised our Over 2.5 Goals bet was up in smoke.
We're doggedly sticking to the same theme, but switching our attention to Belgium, and a clash between the top two in the top flight. The runaway leaders Club Brugge are up against Sporting Charleroi, and there's every reason to think it'll be a lively encounter.
Club Brugge are one of the traditional superpowers in Belgian football, and they are well on course for their 15th league title. Their home form of late has been stellar - they have won their last 12 home games in league and cup, and they have rattled in 39 goals in the process. Ten of those 12 victories have featured at least three goals, including a 5-1 hammering of Charleroi in the Belgian Cup last month.
Charleroi have been making steady progress. They finished fifth last term, and have impressed once again this season. One of the most impressive things about their campaign has been their willingness to play on the front foot on the road. They have won seven times away from home in the league, and they recently won 3-1 at Anderlecht. Three of their last five away games have featured at least four goals.
With Club Brugge scoring freely and winning regularly at home, this has the makings of a thriller, so I'm happy to go for Over 2.5 Goals.
