A promising start for Matthias Jaissle against Liverpool has erased a lot of the doom and gloom at St James' Park, so there's hope among the Toon Army that Newcastle will convert here as 1/31.33 favourites and start another deep Carabao Cup run.

West Brom at 7/18.00 is still a big price with the Baggies winning three out of three and scoring nine goals so they'll be full of confidence, and with Jaissle set to take a look at a few more players with some changes the visitors should grab a goal.

Roberto De Zerbi's revolution couldn't have had a worse start on Saturday when Spurs lost 3-0 to Brentford. Spurs are still 2/91.22 favourites here but Charlton are another underdog in great form with three straight wins to start the season, including at West Ham on Saturday, so 11/112.00 on the visitors is a huge price.

You suspect De Zerbi gave his players a rocket after that beating at Brentford so I'd expect a response, and that means goals. With Charlton having no problems finding the net they could easily add to the tally too so one way or another there'll be a few goals scored.

Another big underdog here with Preston 5/16.00 at home having lost both their Championship games so far, while Everton are big 4/91.44 favourites after a nice opening day win over Crystal Palace.

David Moyes could do with a good cup run, he's got a plenty of options now and you know what you'll get from his side - they'll take this seriously and will likely win by a goal or two without too many dramas at the back.

Luton are another EFL side in great goalscoring form with the Hatters sticking in nine goals already during 3-0 and 4-3 wins along with a 2-2 draw in an entertaining start to the campaign. They're 12/113.00 as the League One outfit visit Stamford Bridge.

Xabi Alonso's side are 2/111.18 and should win comfortably - with the main problem being that the manager has too many quality players to pick from, which could lead to a lack of cohesion. Add their 3-2 win at Fulham to Luton's three games averaging over three goals per outing and this certainly has the ingredients to be a lively encounter.

But as lively as Luton can be, there's so much firepower at Alonso's disposal in the season opener at Stamford Bridge that we can expect a healthy home win.

It was a Monday night defeat to Chelsea but Fulham are still whopping 1/61.17 home favourites against a Wimbledon side who've been busy already this season with two penalty shootouts in this competition and the EFL Trophy. The Dons failed to score in two League One games though so they're 13/114.00 underdogs as a result.

Wimbledon's inability to score so far in the league means that even just at even money a Fulham win to nil looks like a decent move here.
