Champions League tips and predictions

17:45 - Qarabag v Newcastle: Back Baku to host goals

Kevin Hatchard: We can get a price of 1.92 here for Both Teams To Score, and given Qarabag's swashbuckling nature in this competition, that's a price that leaps off the page. Five of Qarabag's eight league phase games featured at least one goal from both teams, and six of them saw an Over 2.5 Goals bet land. If you look at the four games in Baku, they ended 2-0, 2-2, 2-4 and 3-2.

Newcastle have seen a BTTS bet land in their last six outings in all competitions, and there were at least two goals in all of their eight league phase matches in the Champions League. They scored in all four league phase away games, but only kept one clean sheet.

20:00 - Olympiakos v Bayer Leverkusen: Back Germans to win in Greece

Paul Higham: Olympiakos won their last three games to qualify, including a 2-0 win at home against Leverkusen last month, and they're slight favourites to double that up at 8/5 with the Germans at 9/5 after some head scratching form - they beat Man City and Benfica without conceding but drew at Copenhagen and lost in Athens in their two easier away ties.

So you're never quite sure what you'll get from Bayer and the home fans will be bang up for this one, making this an extremely tough one to call, but Leverkusen were pretty unlucky on their last trip here, as they dominated the ball but failed to score from 17 shots, six on target and five big chances - Olympiakos had two shots on target and two goals. The draw is attractive at 23/10 but a performance anything like the one at the Etihad should get the job done.

Premier League tips and predictions

20:00 - Wolves v Arsenal: Stats point to Gunners' win and clean sheet

Opta Stats: Arsenal have won nine of their 11 Premier League away games against Wolves (L2), their highest win rate against any side they've faced 10+ times on the road (82%). Wolves have failed to score in more different Premier League games than any other side this season (14), while Arsenal have kept more clean sheets than anyone else (13).

EFL tips and predictions

19:45 L1 - Wigan v Luton: Back the Latics

Alan Dudman: I tend to oppose Luton away and back them at home, their record in the table backs that up with nine victories at Kenilworth Road and just four away. The added bonus for Wigan fans is the return of Gary Caldwell, something of a prodigal son back in the north west in what was the worst kept secret in League One. Exeter fans wish him well with their blessing, and the task is a difficult one with so many defeats of late.

Luton have won just one of their last 14 midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) away league games (D3 L10), beating Cardiff City 2-1 in the Championship in March 2025.
