Wearsiders beaten at West Brom to leave door ajar for north-east rivals. Joe Dyer reports on a busy Saturday in the Premier League.

Sunderland missed a big chance to edge ahead in the relegation battle when soundly beaten by West Brom.

The Baggies, seemingly buoyed by the near certainty of their own relegation did not give the visitors a chance, winning 3-0. That scoreline was backed at [40.0].

West Brom are still [1.01] to go down while Sunderland, once available at [19.5] in the market are now in to [4.5].

Hull continued their drop down the table, losing 3-1 at home to Liverpool. Again, the final score was matched at a big price - [46.0] - with over 3.5 goals backed at [9.4] with Dirk Kuyt supplying the clincher on 89 minutes.

Third-placed Chelsea have Petr Cech to thank after the keeper saved a West Ham penalty. The over 1.5 goals backers at [1.37] won't have been happy though.

Elsewhere, Chelsea's FA Cup Final opponents Everton were surprisingly beaten in front of their own fans by Manchester City. The Toffees had been backed at a low of [1.78]. The 2-1 final score was backed at [25.0].

Aston Villa traded at [1.37] to win when leading 1-0 against Bolton. Tamir Cohen levelled in the second half to reward backers of the draw at [4.7]

In the final 3pm kick-off, Stoke lost at Fulham to a single goal - a score that nobbled some short price takers. Over 1.5 goals was backed at [1.18] after Erik Nevland's 29th minute opener.
