Liverpool edge closer to Champions League spot

Liverpool touch evens in a dire Merseyside Derby, Newcastle drift to [22.0] before destroying Spurs...

Liverpool were matched at a high of evens on Betfair to beat Everton in a match that will hardly be remembered for excitement or entertainment but which will suit them just fine with their price now cut to [1.15] for a Top Four finish. Everton are now available at [6.0] to grab the final Champions League spot. The 1-0 scoreline was matched at a high of [9.8].

There was far more excitement at White Hart Lane where Newcastle were matched at [22.0] after going a goal down to Spurs before eventually winning 4-1. Juande Ramos' touched [1.25] after Darren Bent put them ahead.

The quality of Chelsea's performance was nothing to write home about either but layers of over 2.5 goals at [1.41] won't be too bothered about that; this was the price on overs after the early Chelsea goal. More importantly, the win keeps Chelsea on track for the Premiership title and they are now [5.8], behind [1.29] Man Utd.
