This section highlights a trainer, owner or jockey who is in excellent current form and their runners or rides for the day.
Trainer Ben Pauling has hit a good recent run of form and has been operating at a 24% strike rate in the last 14 days. Today he saddles five runners at Chepstow and Bangor-On-Dee.
Trainer Roger Charlton is the furthest traveller for the second day running. He scored in this section yesterday with his sole runner at Newcastle and today makes the same 313 mile trip with his only runner Dreambird 5.04/1 in the 16:00.
Race of the day
We head to Chepstow for today's feature race, the 16:15 Winning Post Bookmakers 35Years In Racing Novices' Limited Handicap Chase, where five of the six runners make their chase debut.
Getaround makes his chase/stable debut for Dan and Harry Skelton and shaped well on a couple of occasions for his former yard last term in Novice Hurdles.
However, he failed to progress in two handicap starts, so he will need to improve for going over the larger obstacles off this lofty mark of 134, and he looked like a non-stayer over hurdles on his last attempt at this trip (although that could have been a wind issue).
He is the likely pace angle, and that means he is dangerous to discount in races such as this, as he can force those behind to make mistakes on their first outing over fences.
Champagne Rhythm gets the services of Adam Wedge for the first time for this chase debut, and although he shaped well when a regular here at Chepstow last term over hurdles under five-pound claimer Isabel Williams, he could have done with stronger handling.
He is a horse that doesn't do too much once in front, so he will likely need to be delivered late on the scene, but he has some fair form to his name and looks on a workable handicap mark for this first chase start.
Eva's Oscar is the most experienced in the field, and although zero for four over fences, that will hold him in good stead in this contest.
He has scored twice at this venue over hurdles from four starts on both heavy and good to soft ground, so he is versatile and is weighted to go well five pounds below his hurdle rating.
In today's scenario, he must be a player at big odds, even if those at the top of the market are likely to improve past him at some stage.
Timeform's Dave Ord takes a look at Bangor and Chepstow on Tuesday
The Timeform team offer up their NAP, NB and each-way shout for today's jumps racing.
It could pay to side with Honor Grey
A tough day today, but Honor Grey appeals at the morning odds in the 15:05 Black And White Racing Club On Tour Handicap Hurdle from an each-way perspective.
Ben Pauling's six-year-old offered plenty to work on last season in Novice Hurdles. He bumped into some smart horses such as Flash Collonges, Threeunderthrufive and Champagnesuperover, all rated 134 plus.
Despite being no match for those rivals, he wasn't beaten far on any of those occasions, and his best effort came at Exeter over 2m5f on good ground on seasonal reappearance when shaping as though a step up in trip was on the cards.
He ran well below par on his final outing last season as Sandown on handicap debut off of this opening handicap mark of 115 but forgiving that, he had a progressive profile.
Fresh and up in trip today, he should have a big say in proceedings, and the market has underestimated his chances at a double-figure price.
There was a good reaction on Twitter to the announcement of an additional column for Betfair - A road to Cheltenham ante-post column - each Sunday starting on November 7.
