Football Bet of the Day: Visitors won't upset Young Boys

• Young Boys still top despite recent wobble

• Home form of champions is still strong

• Luzern's away form is poor

We got the nature of yesterday's game between Rayo Vallecano and Getafe spot-on, as there were ten cards shown in the goalless draw. Alas for our headline bet, none of those cards were red, but at least the Over 6.5 Cards recommendation landed.

Undeterred, we head to Switzerland, because the champions Young Boys are in action against Luzern, and I'm expecting a sizeable home victory.

Young Boys are under more pressure than expected in the Swiss Super League title race, with Lugano just three points behind and Servette only five points off the title pace. YBB recently fired coach Raphael Wicky after a run of three straight defeats in league and cup (with the latter an exit against second-tier Sion), and although the away form has been patchy since then, the home form remains strong.

The Berne-based side have won 12 of their last 15 home matches in the league, and eight of those 12 victories have been by two goals or more. YBB have lost just once at home in that spell.

Today's opponents Luzern are on a four-match unbeaten run in the league, but they have lost seven of their last 11 on the road, and they were smashed 6-1 at Young Boys in November.

Even though they aren't quite at their best, Young Boys are still winning big at home, and I'll back the hosts -1.0 on the Asian Handicap here at 2.021/1.
