San Lorenzo did their bit for us last night by edging out Sao Paulo 1-0, but we needed more goals and more corners to make the Bet Builder work.

We'll head to the Republic of Ireland now, because there's an entertaining game in prospect between Sligo Rovers and title-chasing St. Patrick's Athletic.

St. Pat's are four points behind the leaders Shamrock Rovers, but their European dream has already died. They were beaten home and away by Luxembourg's Dudelange, conceding five goals across the two legs. At least things are going well domestically - a 2-1 win at Longford Town saw the Supersaints make progress in the FAI Cup, and in the league they have won six of their last nine.

St. Patrick's have the joint-best attacking record in the division, having rattled in 47 goals in 25 games, and they have found the net in 20 of those matches. Away from home, Jon Daly's side have only drawn a blank twice.

Sligo Rovers are only seven points above the dropzone, and they have won just three of their last 12 league matches, but their games are usually good for a goal or three. An Over 2.5 Goals bet has landed in seven of their last nine competitive games, and that's also true of seven of their last 11 league games at The Showgrounds.
