Monday Football Tips: Be bold with 100/1 Bacha bet

This column mentioned Selma Bacha earlier in the Women's Euro only to see her benched for the opening 5-1 demolition of Italy.

The warning here is it's possible the same could happen again in this game. However, it seems less likely and the prices surrounding the French flier are simply too big to ignore.

In terms of selection, France have already qualified as group winners so this represents a chance for boss Corinne Diacre to get minutes into her players with Bacha widely tipped for his first start by the French press.

In addition, Diacre needs to make at least one change to her starting XI with star striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto having suffered a serious knee injury in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Belgium - a match France dominated, out-shooting their neighbours 27-2.

As a form line, Belgium and Iceland drew 1-1.

Reports suggest one of the wide players could be asked to move inside which could create an opening for Bacha, who can play anywhere down the left-hand side.

She's also got shots in her, as she's shown in her two substitute appearances so far, both of which have come in attacking positions.

Bacha managed one shot in 12 minutes against the Italians and two in 25 against the Belgians.

If given a start here, 16/5 about 2+ shots will look big, as will 12/1 about 3+.

Camille Abily, a former France star and now on the Lyon coaching staff, said of Bacha: "Selma is capable of scoring goals, as we have seen. She has a very good shot which can allow her to be decisive, without forgetting her crossing quality."
