It's always nice when a bet lands with room to spare, and that's what happened in Portugal last night, as both teams found the net in the first half of Vitoria Guimaraes' 2-1 win over Arouca.
We'll head to Italy now, as title-challenging Juventus continue their push for the Scudetto against Sassuolo. Although the visitors aren't in great shape, I think they can give Max Allegri's side a few headaches.
The first thing to beat in mind for tonight is that Juventus just don't cut loose in league games under the super-pragmatic Allegri. They haven't won a Serie A match by more than one goal since a 2-0 success against Turin rivals Torino in the first week of October. If you look as the Bianconeri's 19 league outings, they have won just four of them by a multiple-goal margin.
The other thing to consider is Sassuolo's excellent recent record against Juve. They beat them 4-2 in September with a late surge, and they have won three of the clubs' last five Serie A meetings. Yes, Alessio Dionisi's side are in the bottom half with just 19 points from 19 games, but they beat Fiorentina last time out and haven't lost a game by a multiple-goal margin since October.
Inter's incredible form is putting Juventus under consistent pressure, and that rarely makes for free-flowing and dominant football under Allegri. I'll keep this really simple and back Sassuolo +1.5 on the Asian Handicap at 1.768/11. I'm aware that isn't a particularly sexy price, but our bet only flames out if Sassuolo lose the game by two goals or more.
If you want something slightly bigger you could back Sassuolo +2 on the Handicap and Domenico Berardi to have 2+ shots at 2.1511/10 on the Bet Builder. The Sassuolo and Italy forward has had at least two goal attempts in 13 of his 15 Serie A appearances this season, including two in that win over Juventus.
