First day back on the props column after two weeks off and my eyes light up - Getafe are playing so it's straight off to the cards markets!
The men from south Madrid have long been regarded the dirtiest in La Liga, a reputation earned by the approach of boss Pepe Bordalas.
It is one which took them into Europe at one stage before he briefly left the club. However, Bordalas returned to save them from relegation towards the back end of last season.
Since his return, the card numbers have picked up further with their game totals being (most recent first): 5-9-4-4-5-3-4-7-5.
That immediately makes over 3.5 at odds-against appeal - it's landed eight times out of nine.
Of course, with such bets you also need to consider the referee but there are few worries on that front with Juan Martinez Munuera the sixth-best for cards in the Primera Division last season, averaging 5.22 yellows per game.
And here are the number of cards he's shown to Getafe the last 10 times he's taken charge of a game involving them: 4-5-3-3-4-4-5-2-4-5. That's a strike-rate of 70% for the over 3.5 cards bet.
It makes the Bet Builder.
It was tempting to add a Getafe player or two but unsurprisingly the layers are taking few chances with them and I've long had a policy of never backing anyone at odds-on in this market; that's all you'll get on their long-term card king Damian Suarez.
Instead, let's head to the fouls market where Djene Dakonam and Juanmi Latasa both appeal for 2+ fouls.
Dakonam has landed this in his last seven appearances - and it may well have been nine had he not been sent off for his first foul in another game.
A move from centre-back into a defensive-midfield role helps explain this run.
He's also picked up five yellow cards in his seven games since Bordalas returned.
As for Latasa, the young forward has committed a massive 17 fouls in his last three games.
Again the ref is not a problem when it comes to fouls - Martinez Munuera was fourth in the fouls-per-game charts last season.
And finally it will surely help that Alaves were the sixth most-fouled team in the Segunda Division last term, not to mention first for fouls committed. This could be spicy!
The three-legged Bet Builder pays 21/5 which seems perfectly fair.
As ever, it will be worth checking the team news prior around an hour prior to kick-off - Getafe did lose 3-0 last week so changes could be made. If one of our men isn't in the XI, you will likely be able to cash out and get your stake back.
