Premier League Winner

Arsenal have shortened to 2/51.40  favourites (from 4/71.57to win the Premier League title after thrashing north London rivals Tottenham 4-1 in Sunday's derby. The Gunners controlled the game from start to finish with the highlight being Eberechi Eze's superb hat-trick against the team he nearly joined in the summer.

With the victory Arsenal moved six points clear at the top of the table after Chelsea had cut the gap to three points on Saturday afternoon with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Burnley.  The Blues are  third favourites to win the title at 16/117.00, just ahead of Liverpool at 22/123.00 who suffered a shock 0-3 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest.

The reigning champions have now lost six of their last seven Premier League games and have dropped to 11th in the Premier League table. As a result the Betfair Sportsbook have introduced a Next Permanent Liverpool Manager market, and even though there's no suggestion that Arne Slot will lose hi job, it's a former Anfield favourite who is favourite to make a sensational return to the club. You can read all about who here.

Manchester City remain 3/14.00 second favourites for the title despite a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle in an entertaining game at St James' Park. Pep Guardiola's men have dropped to third in the table, seven points behind leaders Arsenal.

Manchester United, who host Everton on Monday night, can be backed at 50/151.00 to win the title and they are the only other team that is trading at under 300/1301.00 on the Betfair Sportsbook.

Premier League Top 4 Finish

For the first time this season Liverpool are included in the table below given their current position in the table, though the Betfair traders still expect them to record a Top 4 Finish this term despite their dreadful run of form.

The Reds are now 1/21.50 to finish in the top four having been as low as 1/331.03 when they commenced the campaign with five league wins out of five.

Chelsea and Newcastle enhanced their top four finish hopes with Matchday 12 victories, as too did Aston Villa, Brighton and Crystal Palace.

Aston Villa came from a goal behind at Leeds on Sunday to win 2-1 and they are now fourth in the table. Having been as big as 16/117.00 in the market they are now 6/17.00 to remain in the four top positions come the end of the season.

Crystal Palace and Brighton can both be backed at 13/27.50 after wins over Wolves and Brentford respectively, though Tottenham - having been as low as 5/23.50 to finish in the top four - are out to 9/110.00 following their heavy defeat to the Gunners.

Premier League Top 6 Finish

Not much to report in the Top 6 Finish market with, as expected, the teams that won this weekend shortening and those that didn't drifting.

Premier League Relegation

Rob Edwards' reign as the new Wolves manager got off to the worst possible start with a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. The Molineux outfit remain rock bottom of the table with just two points from a possible 36. No club in Premier League history has survived having taken two or fewer points after 12 games, so it's no surprise to see Wolves trading at 1/331.03 in the Relegation market.

Both Burnley and Leeds now occupy places in the bottom three following weekend defeats. The Clarets have shortened to 2/131.15 to go down, the shortest price they've been all season, while Leeds are now 5/42.25 to drop down to the Championship.

West Ham moved above the drop zone thanks a taking a point at Bournemouth, their third game on the spin without losing, but they remain among the favourites to be relegated, now available to back at 1/12.00.

Premier League Top Goalscorer

Despite not scoring in Matchday 12, Erling Haaland is 1/121.08 from 1/101.10 to be this season's Premier League Top Goalscorer, though his lead at the top of the scoring charts was cut to just five after Brentford's Igor Thiago scored again on Saturday. The Bees striker later missed a penalty to reduce the deficit even further.

Notice that Liverpool striker Alexander Isak is no longer a prominent name in the market. The former Newcastle man is having a torrid time at his new club and is yet to score a Premier League goal this season.
