Parkers leaves Burnley after relegation

It's been another season in the Premier League followed by another relegation back down to the Championship for Burnley and their now ex-manager Scott Parker who is excellent at getting clubs into the top flight but terrible at keeping them there.

Burnley have won just one of their last 25 Premier League games (D7 L17). You don't stay up with performances like that and Parker's departure by mutual consent, which was confirmed by Burnley on Thursday, was no surprise. Mike Jackson will be in temporary charge for this match on Friday.

It seems unlikely that Burnley will see new mananger bounce and more likely that they will be sit for a miserable and rudderless end to the campaign. The board, meanwhile, will try to find a manager who can not only get them back up but keep them there.

For Leeds, returning to the Premier League has proved more fruitful, and a fine run of form, which has seen them go unbeaten in their last five league games (W2 D3), means they are almost certain to stay in the division.

They sit 15th with four to play and, while it was frustrating for them to lose 1-0 to Chelsea in last weekend's FA Cup semi-final, Leeds' priority has always been to stay in the division.

Back Leeds to avenge reverse fixture loss

Burnley beat Leeds 2-0 when the teams meet at Turf Moor in October - one of only four league victories that Parker was able to engineer this season.

Punters who like the 7/18.00 on the Burnley win will also note that they have been better on the road than at home of late, with nine of the Clarets' last 13 points earned have come away.

But when it comes to making the case for Burnley win that's about it. By far the most pertinent stat is that one about them winning just one of their last 25 in the league, losing 17.

Instead, we fancy Leeds could turn this into a bit of a romp, or at least win comfortably, so are willing to back them to cover the -1 handicap at 11/102.11.

They've earned as many points (7) and scored more goals (7) in their last three league matches than they had in their previous eight combined (7 points, 6 goals).

Forest showed at Sunderland last week that there's something about Friday night in the spring that can inspire a team on a good run and it's possible that, in front of their passionate fans, the Whites could be inspired to get on the front foot. In their last home match, Farke's men walloped Wolves 3-0.

Back goals at Elland Road

The other thing that stands out about Leeds during their impressive league run is that they have been finding the net.

For Burnley's part, while they have been resolute at home, making Man City work for their recent 1-0 win at Turf Moor, the Clarets have conceded nine across their last three on the road.

You would expect this Leeds attack to relish the chance to test a defence that is low on confidence and morale. We'll take 4/61.67 on over 2.5 goals.

Who's a good bet to find the net?

Noah Okafor, who scored a brace in the 2-1 win at Old Trafford, then followed up with another against Wolves, and impressed against Chelsea at Wembley, is in excellent form.

He got a knock in the semi-final and is not certain to play on Friday so keep an eye on the team news and, if picked, back him to score anytime at 6/42.50.

Alternatively, you could take the boosted 1/12.00 on the Swede to score or assist.
