It wasn't Irish eyes that were smiling last night, it was Austrian ones, as Rapid Vienna did us proud with a 3-1 win at Dundalk.

We'll head to France now, and take in a clash between two sides who are currently struggling, not least because they can't stop conceding. Strasbourg are up against Rennes in Ligue 1, and I think Over 2.5 Goals is over-priced at odds-against.

Strasbourg are in the bottom two, and have the joint-worst defensive record in the league, having leaked 23 goals in 11 matches. At the other end, they're averaging better than a goal a game. It's no surprise therefore that six of their last seven Ligue 1 games have featured three goals or more.

Rennes suffered a heart-breaking defeat to Chelsea in midweek. They deservedly hauled themselves level late in the game, but were then dealt a sucker punch, as Olivier Giroud netted a late winner. Rennes have now lost their last four games in all competitions, and their leaky defending of late has contributed to Over 2.5 Goals landing in five of their last seven matches. All five of their away games in Ligue 1 have featured at least three goals.

At 2.1411/10, I think Over 2.5 Goals is an avenue worth pursuing.
