Irish football fans — There are big European games on both sides of the Irish border tonight

After narrowly missing out on a winner yesterday, Paul Robinson is back with an 11/1 Daily Acca today. Here are his selections:

Northern Irish side to avoid defeat

Bet 1: Back Linfield to Win or Draw @ 6/4 - KO 19:45 BST

Linfield pulled off an impressive win over Bodo Glimt in the first leg of their Champions League Qualifier, but they couldn't replicate it in the second leg, and ended up losing 8-0.

David Healy's side are back on home soil tonight in a Europa League Qualifier, and I think they can at least avoid defeat against Zurich.

The Swiss champions have also been knocked out of the Champions League this season, as they were beaten over two legs by Qarabag.

My other concern for the visitors is that their league campaign has started poorly - two defeats and a draw from three games played, and they didn't even score a goal during that period.

Match-fit Shamrock to get the win

Bet 2: Back Shamrock Rovers @ 13/10 - KO 20:00 BST

Another Irish team in action in the Europa League today is Shamrock Rovers, and I think that the Premier Division leaders and champions are overpriced to pick up a first leg victory.

Stephen Bradley's men are seven points clear at the top, and they have even beaten Ludogorets at home this season - albeit they lost over the two legs.

KF Shkupi of North Macedonia are the visitors to the Tallaght Stadium, and they were knocked out of the Champions League by Dinamo Zagreb.

The disadvantage that they have here is that their league campaign hasn't started yet, while Shamrock are in the full thrust of theirs.

Brazil to beat Argentina

Bet 3: Back Athletico PR @ 5/6 - KO 01:30 BST

Estudiantes are struggling in the Argentinian Primera Division, and while they are in the last eight of the Copa Libertadores, they have enjoyed the benefit of a kind draw.

In truth, they have again had a good draw, as Athletico PR aren't fancied to win the tournament, but I can't see them troubling the Brazilians tonight.

The hosts bounced back to form with a 1-0 win over Sao Paulo at the weekend, and they are unbeaten in 14 at home in all competitions - 11 of which were victories.
