Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney find their touch as Europe is treated to a goal feast...
Manchester United and Arsenal consolidated their Champions League prospects with wins on a night of goals galore across the continent.
Dimitar Berbatov, a [6.4] first goalscorer, made it four goals in two European outings as he scored twice for United, who traded no higher than [1.34], in a comfortable victory over Celtic at Old Trafford. In form Wayne Rooney added the third to make a 3-0 scoreline, backed at a high of [9.0], which provided value for those who backed Over 2.5 goals at [2.54].
Arsenal were backed at [2.22] during a compelling away victory against Turkish club Fenerbache. The Gunners were impressive in attack, taking an early 2-0 lead with goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Theo Walcott, but Arsene Wenger will be concerned by an at times shambolic defensive display which saw Mikael Silvestre score an own goal on his European debut for the club. Second half goals by Alexandre Song and Aaron Ramsey made it 2 - 5 with Over 4.5 goals backed at [7.6].
There were further scoring feasts around the continent with Lyon backed at [18.5] as they came from behind to defeat Steau Bucharest 3 - 5 and Villareal, who traded at [1.74], defeating Aalborg 6-3 in Spain.
Dinamo Kiev, matched at [7.8], sprung a surprise in Portugal, beating FC Porto 0 - 1, and Juventus traded at [3.5] as they held off a spirited Real Madrid comeback to win 2 - 1 in Turin.
Bayern Munich were backed at [2.02] as they won 3 - 0 against Fiorentina. Earlier in the evening, Zenit St Petersberg came from a goal down to earn a point at home to BATE Borisov. The draw traded at [6.4].
After tonight's win, Manchester United are currently trading at [7.2] to retain the Champions League with rivals Chelsea the market favourites at [5.6].
