Saturday Horse Racing Tips and Insight
Blue Point colt Tribeca has only been seen once when winning at Navan in April. He stuck to the task well that day over 6f, showing he possesses some ability, grinding out the result from the front as the second closed late.
The drop down to 5f is interesting and could suit a bit better based on that effort. His dam's side of the family does offer hope for further in future, but he has shown he can stay 6f and also possesses speed, which should hold him in good stead here.
The form is already working out well and there should be plenty of further improvement to come from this unexposed colt, who fetched 575,000gns as a Tatts October Book 1 yearling. There's plenty of black-type in his pedigree and he could be capable of taking a significant step forward from his debut run.

Five fantastic days of action come to a close at Royal Ascot on Saturday with another card chock-full of quality, and my first bet of the day comes in the what looks like a belting renewal of the Hardwicke Stakes.
Courtesy of her sex allowance, the five-year-old mare Kalpana just about sets the standard and she wasn't far off her best when in the Aston Park Stakes at Newbury on her reappearance, getting the better of West Wind Blows by only a neck with the pair pulling well clear of the rest.
A repeat of that will give her a solid chance of following up but I'm siding with Jan Brueghel, who wasn't anywhere near his best when a well-beaten second in the Coronation Cup last time, but that was an odd race on deteriorating ground at Epsom and these conditions should show him to much better effect.
As expected, Aidan O'Brien has had his team in fine form all week and I'm hopeful that the selection can add to his master trainer's burgeoning tally of Royal Ascot winners.

The only thing that might stop Joliestar is whether the travel has taken anything out of her, but she has hit peak form figures in her last three runs at Randwick and has the Timeform figure to back it up.
As the best bet of the race for me, we also have the Betfair Tokens with money back up to £50 of the stake for a second, third or fourth finish.
Jasour is a complete rag at 50s, but he was sixth in the race last year, has won at the track and has a high draw, so might be able to outrun his big number.

Fozzy Stacks and Seamie Heffernan struck in the Chesham Stakes with Nola Soul on Thursday and the pair team up with another solid contender in the form of Thesecretadversary on Saturday.
The St Mark's Basilica colt managed second as a juvenile in the Listed race won this week by his stablemate in 2025, before going on to claim Listed success duing his debut campaign. He was luckless in a Woodbine Grade One later on in the term, but successful in a Leopardstown Group Three on reappearance before putting his Classic credentials on the line.
While he has struggled to make an impact in his couple of starts in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Irish equivalent recently, the colt is capable of better and could be able to show further improvement. He's a likeable performer who has shown a good attitude, and this assignment could suit.

There are at least two potential Group horses lurking in this renewal with Double Rush and Binhareer present and a cogent case can be constructed for both given they are quality animals whose improvement hasn't as yet plateaued.
Ten Pounds is more exposed than the chief protagonists, but he is coming to the boil nicely judged on his recent Carlisle spin over five furlongs and could well improve on last year's third in this race.
The caveat to his chance is his mercurial rider who can be hard to fathom, but straight track Ascot races are his forte and I'm hoping he can deliver the selection at the ideal moment here.

Wathnan Racing purchased Sahara King and Lost Boys after they finished 1-2 in last month's London Gold Cup and that pair - who top Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings - might fight out the finish to another top handicap.
The former was narrowly denied by a head at Newbury but is seemingly preferred by James Doyle and is taken to turn the tables in new cheekpieces.
There are three 'Horses In Focus' in the field, with Windsor runner-up Heraldry the other, but Sahara King is 1 lb better off with Lost Boys, and his earlier form with subsequent Derby runner-up Maltese Cross suggests that he remains well-treated off this mark.

This marathon trip is clearly a slight concern for French Master who tries a trip in excess of14 furlongs for the first time. However, he hit the line strongly in the Copper Horse Handicap 12 months ago (1m6f) and could end the week in sparkling style for Wathnan Racing.
A recent tee up at Newbury over an inadequate mile and a half, when ridden prominently behind Kapana, should have put the selection spot on and he is likely to be switched off and ridden chilly to get the trip here.
His chance arguably rests on him settling and not over-racing, but if James Doyle, who has ridden beautifuly all week, can get French Master switched off early then he could run a huge race.
