Carry The Flag and Orthodox have been long-term fancies in the ante-post market for this race and it's easy to comprehend why.
The Ballydoyle youngster has form wrapped up with fellow stable aces Great Barrier Reef and Sun Goddess, while the latter is regarded on a par with the stable's star sprinter Harry's Angel at this stage of his career after sauntering home on debut at Salisbury.
Both have plenty of speed and class and are drawn competitively so will be tough to beat. At their prices, it is roughly an even money chance coupled that either will win.
However, I was taken with the debut effort of Savage Mariner at Leicester and with his stable's horses running well all week, he could be overpriced at 50/1.
The selection, a son of Coventry Stakes fourth Blackbeard who went on to win the Prix Morny and Middle Park, showed good gate speed at the Midlands venue and went to the front at the two-furlong marker before the talented Libertango came past him late on to score tidily.
His Leicester conqueror was strongly fancied for the Albany Stakes so the form may be better than at first glance - the time certainly suggest that - and the switch to a stiff five furlongs could see Savage Mariner in the mix at sizeable odds with Tom Marquand a pleasing booking.

This year's renewal resembles the equine version of the World Cup with Australia, Japan, Ireland, Britain and France all represented alongside Denmark.
Japan went agonisingly close to landing the Group 1 with Satono Reve last year and the seven-year-old may make amends for his narrow defeat to Lazzat with victory in the hands of Ryan Moore.
There was a chasm back to the third home Flora Of Bermuda 12 months ago as the two main protagonists fought out a good duel from the furlong marker and, although Joliestar arrives on British shores with plenty of confidence, Satono Reve warmed up for this event by chasing home the world's best racehorse in Ka Ying Rising on his latest start.
Moore has been in irresistible form this week and his mount looks sure to take a hand again from stall 18.

There are at least two potential Group horses lurking in this renewal with Double Rush and Binhareer present and a cogent case can be constructed for both given they are quality animals whose improvement hasn't as yet plateaued.
Ten Pounds is more exposed than the chief protagonists, but he is coming to the boil nicely judged on his recent Carlisle spin over five furlongs and could well improve on last year's third in this race.
The caveat to his chance is his mercurial rider who can be hard to fathom, but straight track Ascot races are his forte and I'm hoping he can deliver the selection at the ideal moment here.

Completely Random is another refugee from last year's race and his chance that day was arguably compromised by racing apart from where the main action took place.
It is worth recalling that Queen Anne runner-up More Thunder was second last year so it was a very decent renewal and it seems significant that Ryan Moore retains his association with the five-year-old given he is 2-2 aboard the selection and gave him a wonderful ride to dead heat in the Kachy Stakes at Lingfield in January.
Connections reach for the cheekpieces in an effort to extricate a little further improvement and a couple of outings this term have ensured Completely Random races off the same mark as last year.

This marathon trip is clearly a slight concern for French Master who tries a trip in excess of14 furlongs for the first time. However, he hit the line strongly in the Copper Horse Handicap 12 months ago (1m6f) and could end the week in sparkling style for Wathnan Racing.
A recent tee up at Newbury over an inadequate mile and a half, when ridden prominently behind Kalpana, should have put the selection spot on and he is likely to be switched off and ridden chilly to get the trip here.
His chance arguably rests on him settling and not over-racing, but if James Doyle, who has ridden beautifuly all week, can get French Master switched off early then he could run a huge race.
